hi /3/, /o/ here, I'm having some trouble with 3ds max. I'm trying to path-deform this set of concrete barriers along the pit road but they are rotating along elevation changes. This pic is at the end of the road and at the start of the path deform.

Hey /3/, I need some help. So I finished polypainting a traffic light. Since my computer is too slow to unwrap all using UV master I just grouped the UV's. The issue now is that some of my subtools are letting me create a texture from polypaint and some aren't. For some the option is just grayed out. Since I need to export the texture and normal maps for all the tools, merge the entire sculpt and then compile the high-res color information in Xnormal on the merged low-poly mesh, this is a problem, as not all of the textures are able to export. Anyone have any idea why that option would be grayed out? Example of what I mean:

Sup guys. I've got a question not narrowed to one program. What is the simplest way to make objects rotate on local axis while moving? Mathematically it would look like 360°x(1 program unit) or (2?r)x(1 program unit). Is there a way to insert these parameters to a modifier or a script? if yes, how? Pic somewhat releated.

i know not a lot of people on here use c4d but i need help with it. I'm creating a falling scene and i need to use dynamic animated clothing while my character is falling. Like when the character is falling, his clothes are subject to forces like wind. I need to know how to create such cloth with the cloth tag that it would stay on my character. Any help would be great.

Hey /3/, I'm making these plush dices you see hanging in cars. Trying to aim for realism but I'm having trouble getting it right. It's a little more complex because of the hair I use, makes stuff like global illumination and specular a real pain for some reason. I'm using Cinema 4D with the standard renderer. Any tips on lightning/compositing to make this more photo-realistic? Posting progress so far below

Rage toolkit "broken"?

I want to start developping a mod for id's Rage. But I heard here and there the toolkit is "broken". Many things seems not to work, like importing custom models, etc. Wich is one of the reason why we don't see Rage mods. I asked if it was true in Bethesda's dedicaded forum but got no answser. So does anybody knows what exactly doesn't work, and why?

Holy fucking hell this bug is annoying as FUCK. Often in Maya I won't be able to select the fucking rotation manipulator. The only way to fix it is by zooming in and then back out again. Image related, what the actual fuck autodesk this is like a fundamental tool and you can't even get this right? I'm at my fucking witts end with this shit.

My first (what I consider to be) decent attempt at baking high poly to low(ish) poly normals in maya. ideally this would probably be a game character, but it wasn't made for anything specific. What's the best way to deal with cloth sim (the cape) in Maya? nCloth seems to lack enough control for a character, but just using bones seems like it would be tedious and no give a natural result. Also looking for general feedback.

This is just a subset of all the units in my RTS game. I would like to ask for an anonymous opinion on weather it looks better (allows better unit differentiation) with per-vertex ambient occlusion. Ignoring the obvious fails of the method. This is a shot with AO off:
