Hey /a/, My pug seems to be having an issue, not to sure what it is but I think it might be a bee sting or similar. About an hour ago he seemed extremely hyper, and was panting heavily. Soon after he started rubbing his face in all the pillows, blankets etc. He threw up once and continued to bury his face. Now his fur shows little spots of raised up fur.

I need opinions about castrating my dog. Chihuahua, 6 months old. As a human male, I obviously feel horrendously about clipping his nuts off, but I've been told by the vet that it is compassionate, because he will carry a better, more relaxed life and even live longer and healthier. I am troubled by the decision. Please help.

Baby Sparrow fell out of its nest into my porch

So a baby fell onto my porch last night and I have been taking care of it ever since. I am unable to return it to its nest since it's surrounded by high voltage wires. I have been feeding it water soaked bread, buckwheat in paste form (for protein) and I have made sure it's hydrated. I also have a small little box for it to stay in and it's being kept warm by a towel and a small cloth blanket (its as small as the baby). The baby looks to be a sparrow and it looks to be only a couple days old. He is quite well right now for he is sleeping next to me as I type this. I am thinking of taking it to the zoo so a vet can look at it/take care of it so it survives. Is this a good idea? Also am I feeding it the right things and taking care of it properly? Pic related, it's the baby in my hand.

Bee?

I work outside with plants and noticed this insect hanging around our salvia a lot. There's three that seem to be there constantly. One, which is in the photo is about the size of a large bumblebee. Two more are always around it and look the same but are about half the size. I thought they were just honeybees but they have vibrant yellow coloring, not much fuzz and they hover a lot and don't make the standard bee buzzing noise in flight. So then I thought they might be a really accurate-looking hoverfly, except they are quite aggressive and will fly into other bees (honeybees, bumblebees, even wasps) as well as each other. So what the hell is this? Couldn't get a better picture or a larger one, sorry.
