This is Pete, my pointer. I've posted him here before and we have a story to tell. >Last monday >On our normal 6 mile evening walk/jog >Too hot to walk during the day >Walking on the paved jogging track portion of the walk >Suddenly, Pete jumps six feet in the air and looks stunned > I walk over to see what it was that startled him > There in the grass was a juvenile copperhead >The little fuck had bit Pete on the snout as he walked past > I tried to take a few photos of the snake for identification later > Instead the little motherfucker tried to get me and I crushed his head with my shoe > I feel bad about it, he was only being a snake AND a snake bit from him would've laid me up cont. Pic related, Pete 4 hours before the incident

Guys, I need help. About three weeks ago, I adopted a two-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (pictured). With adoption fees, a vet visit, and supplies, I have about $200 and a lot of time invested in this guy. He's become a nuisance. I know adopted dogs need time to adjust, but when he's left alone, he destroys things. I don't just mean alone in the house; I was gone and my roommate was in the next room, and he tore up an expensive armchair. Earlier today, while I was sleeping, he ate my $200 glasses. He's eaten shoes, cigarettes, an umbrella, and a rolling pin. He has access to several chewy toys. He's also had several housetraining accidents in amounts of time that don't make sense (once when I went outside without him for fifteen minutes after he went less than an hour ago). What is this? Separation anxiety? I don't understand why he'd go apeshit while he's not even home alone and there are people one room over. If this stuff goes on much longer, he obviously can't stay. I'm already pretty attached, and the idea of getting rid of him is depressing. What should I do? Will he cool out soon or should I make taking him back to the shelter like a bandaid and just get it over with?

Anybody else show animals in county fairs? 5th year showing livestock for the FFA in the San Diego County Fair I'm too old to participate any longer, and our FFA program was defunded, farm being destroyed to build a 4th softball field after 36 years Anybody know about the 4H? I assume I'm too old to join and show another year (19, turning 20 in march), but I think you can volunteer. A new chapter is being started to cater to all the FFA members that were kicked out of our chapter upon its dissolution.

Hello, /an/, I come to you requesting assistance! A friend of mine recently caught this creature while fishing in a local lake (we're in eastern Kentucky, in the central Appalachian mountains). He says it swam away after he let it go, but what in the world is it?

I just got an argentine tegu off of a guy on Craigslist. The tegu seems fine except that there is an ugly mark on the top of his head. It looks as if a plate or scale is missing. What do you /an/imals think? Will it heal? The guy said he was like that when he got him from tegu terra.

Outdoor Cat Enclosures

I've just moved into a house in the suburbs and wanted to start building a small outdoor cat enclosure for my two cats, but I'm sort of stumped on ideas, not just where to make it but how, and out of what. I don't want to spend too much money at the moment as I'm still buying furniture, and this may very well be a temporary set up until I'm done with the inside of the house and have a set budget for the enclosure. I was wondering if it was viable to make a small cat enclosure out of those metal 'cubes' often used to make 'C&C' guinea pig cages. Any ideas for a small cat enclosure, or what to put inside it? I was hoping to have it attached to a window or door instead of manually having to put them in there, but with the set up of my house it doesn't seem like that is going to work out. Cool cat enclosure set ups in general are also welcome. Pic semi related; what some people think is small for a cat enclosure. I would need to make something much smaller at the moment unfortunately. >inb4 >.GIF

It is very sad how first world society demands such large amounts of meat to the point that animals are being farmed for meat in potentially cruel ways. Animals for consumption have such a low value. For more meat at low prices, animals suffer on very large scales. And many people don't even consider where their meat came from. Meat animals have such a low value that factory farm workers don't do their job in an ethical way. Workers kicking pigs in the face over and over again for example. At least hunters work for their meat, take their meat from a free range source, and usually end their prey's life in a relatively quick fashion (bullet hitting the lungs , heart or brain). The hunters appreciate their meat more than someone who bought a 2 dollar pork chop from the supermarket. Factory farms that are not properly/ethically managed is a sad reality that is probably never going to go away. Its just such a dark and morbid concept to think about. It would be nice if people stuffed their faces with less meat (no meat at all is dumb in my opinion but it works for some people) and appreciated the value of meat more. But of course the majority aren't going to spend more money to buy cruelty-free or free range meats, because money, which is completely understandable being a poorfag myself. It would probably be good if everyone is forced to kill animals themselves in order to get meat, so they are always reminded of where meat comes from. I also understand people who believe that animals don't feel pain, and people who take pride in their brutal power over the inferior animals. Just wondering what you all think of this subject? Im interested in knowing more different points of views.

Found these things under my cats food bowl. I was also told they were in my basement by my sibling as well. I search the web for what they are but nothing is turning up.
