He was a good friend. Thank you for always being happy when I came home. Thank you for always protecting my house. I'm sorry I yelled at you for all those things you did like shitting all over the carpet and when you would eat cat litter and then lick my face. I'm going to miss you buddy. You were a good dog.

Could anyone ID this guy? I've been finding them on two walls near my bed (which is also near an air conditioner). Found around 6 live ones in two days as well as 2 dead ones. They can't seem to fly and crawl pretty slowly

ITT: Pets we like but could never own There's are local guinea pig and a rabbit rescues in my area, which surprised me since I live in an urban area. I remember thinking about fostering but I remembered when I researched them a while back. They're not the type of pet for me. I'm a rat person.

Sup, /an/. A few of you might remember me as the guy who didn't know jack shit about turtles from a few weeks back. Well, i finally got around buying a proper tank. Now, what i ask of you is help with making a basking island. How big should it be? What should it be made out of? Thanks for the help, and again-turtle general thread.

People raised with dogs, what was your first cat like? Was it different? I've always been curious about cats but have never interacted with them. People don't walk their cats down the street, and even with dogs you just look from afar.

i am redoing my floor and i never come to animals board. i need to find a large rug to catch cat litter and urine. my cat pees at a 90degree angle from his body, 100% of the time, in all circumstances. i have an igloo litter box, even then he will pee forcefully out toawrd the door and it will run down the ramp and onto the floor. i want a rug large enough to set the litter box on, and be like, 5ftx5ft. I find lots of 20x20 and 20x34 mats, but i want something that is more like 70x70. any ideas? pic related. my cats. orange one is the problem child.

Are there any other documentaries out there that are as brutal or violent as Last Feast of The Crocodiles? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuyAsq4m2I0

Why aren't herd animals aggressive as shit? Wouldnt them being super defensive completely stop their predators? Like imagine if a predator caught some animal in a herd, and the entire group just rushed over and started kicking/biting/trampling it. Pretty much nothing would be able to deal with it, and would have to move onto other things, or starve.

My ferret recently lost some hair behind her ears. I can't take her into the vet until Wednesday, as the ferret expert in the smallish city I live in, won't be back in the vet office until then. However I tend to worry very easily, and having owned ferrets for a while, I know that the problem I'm describing has a potential fatality, or extreme medical expenses. Currently the ferret, Lilly (pictured about half a year ago, sleeping away a warmer day, in perfect health) has hair missing from behind her ears. on the left side its a bout a 3/4 inch diameter patch of fur missing, and on the right side its about 1/4 of the left side's size. I know I'm taking her into the vet later this week as soon as the vet is available, but due to my worrisome nature, I'm rather concerned that my pet is either very ill, or had adrenal gland disease. I've done some of my own checks, to confirm one way or another what the problem was, but everything's come back, well, normal. She is eating well, drinking water well, seems to be acting normally (as in not lethargic, but still energetic, and is not overly scratching at herself as if she was itchy, though she does scratch at her self or bite at her fur every so often, usually when she wakes up, which i assumed was completely normal, and it didn't seem excessive) has no crusting on the bottom of her feet, or jaw, her skin is pink, and seemingly healthy, where the missing fur is. ive checked multiple times for fleas or ticks, and checked for an enlarged vulva, a common sign in female ferrets, that adrenal gland disease may have set in. she is not missing fur anywhere else on her body, and i don't think her coat has thinned out any (shes always had a thick coat of fur, so its hard to tell if it has thinned. (1/3 con't)

What is /an/'s thoughts on Fennec Foxes, particularly as pets? Anyone have any experiences with them? I want to purchase one far off into the future, once I have a stable home & income.
