I just won the office raffle for $400 worth of Trader Joe's gift cards. I'm a recently-moved-out college graduate who used to eat like shit, but would like to start eating healthy again. WTF do I even buy here and what's good?

Best way to reheat pizza in an oven? I currently do 325 for 10 minutes but get annoyed at how sometimes it drips onto the bottom (don't even suggest putting it on a cookie sheet, that is terrible and not crispy) I've tried a pan and that is shit
How do I get my girlfriend... 46 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
How do I get my girlfriend into casual drinking /ck/? I myself like to drink an occassional beer, wine or a whisky, I'm not saying I'm a connoisseur or anything, but she herself hates the taste of alcohol. The only alcoholic drinks she does like are the 3 to 6% mixed drinks with a shitload of sugar. Are there some simple drinks you can reccommend to get her into drinking along with me without her looking like a fifteen-year-old? Also, maybe you can post tips on getting into drinking in general

Does anyone enjoy having a nice fat sausage as much as I do? Not cut up in put in some casserole or in some other culinary abomination, just a nice long fat warm sausage on a bun sliding down your throat.

/ck/, these are Thai chili peppers. They are delicious and easy to grow. I just harvested a bunch from my garden, in fact, and used them in curry. Top notch. But I'm only going to say this once, so you may learn from my hardship: wash your hands thoroughly before urinating after you cook with these little buggers. Jesus, I have never felt such pain.

What do you put on your popcorn /ck/? Are you a traditionalist using only butter and salt? Or are you an adventurous sort that wouldn't hesitate to throw some cayenne pepper on those kernels?

So I never had liverwurst up until recently and i didnt like it then time after time i tried it to get used to it and it doesnt bother me so much. I like it with sweet pickles mustard onions and sharp cheddar. Is that too overwhelming to cover the liver taste? Also does one benefit from eating liverwurst? How does /ck/ like theirs? Also, the one I tried is Deutschmacher Liverwurst

How can I get rid of my cooking anxiety? I'm just so afraid to try cooking new dishes because I just imagine I'll ruin them and waste all those ingredients or just burn down my house. Eggs and steak are the farthest I have ventured into the cooking world.

Happy Friday, and welcome to Pleb's Kitchen (and drinking!) Tonight: pirogues and mushroom casserole

Hey co/ck/s, I recently acquired a Ladurée cookbook and am tempted to make a "Divin" (pic related.) The recipe calls for both "nougat pieces" and "nougat cream," which are ingredients I am not familiar with. I'm assuming nougat pieces are like the candy - is that something I should make myself? And what IS nougat cream?

Are carbs as bad as everyone is making them these days, or is it just a fad?

I have a few kilos of cheap azn supermarket swordfish steaks, they are pretty great, they don't smell at all when thawed and make great sashimi. What im wondering is, what can i do with the liquid protein stuff that goes white and sets when you heat it? Each steak has a pretty large amount of it when thawed, just seems a wasted opportunity to pour it away.

Does /ck/ like making their own tomato sauce? What do you put in yours? How long do you summer it for?

What do you think of this recipe? Directions Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil; cook the fettuccini at a boil until cooked through yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes; drain. Transfer the fettuccini to a bowl. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook the garlic and pesto in the melted butter until warmed, 2 to 3 minutes; pour over the fettuccini and toss to coat.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vrw5FkLutWk This is my favorite pork dish, but how can I improve the recipe? What are some good ingredients that pair up well with anatto?

What's that weird food that you just enjoy /ck/? I personally like to cook some noodles and add some butter, salt and pepper. Easy to cook, no hassle and its filling.
