Today I woke up to the smell of burning leaves. In the states, that means it's time to make pumpkin pie, apple cider, and gingersnap cookies. I'm curious how seasonal food associations differ around the world. What foods make you think of autumn or just a specific time of year?

I never put cow milk in my homemade black coffee, but things change, and now I buy 8 dollar coffee with caramel syrup and cream, every day, sometimes twice a day, sometimes more often, and sometimes with one or two or more extra espressos thrown in there, and I like it, fuck yeah!

I'm not going to pretend ramen is a real culinary endeavor, but I've got some odd bits around the house that will (hopefully) help me procrastinate grocery shopping another night. I fell in love with tofu today. Can you co/ck/s help me out? Recommended brands, how to make it from scratch, recipes for it? I know there's two other vegan type things but, I'm not a vegan, so... I just like tofu. Tofu by itself is amazing. Thanks.

I dropped the ball (pun somewhat intended), because I didn't prepare for this week at all. But, I've been patiently waiting all summer to break this baby out. My plan is to make a couple recipes out of this every weekend and post them (assuming I'll be home, of course). Just for the fun of it.... Anyway, this week I didn't go grocery shopping, or plan anything, so I'll have to make something out of it that I already have all the ingredients for. Haven't decided what yet, so I'll have to post that later. If this drops off before I get around to posting, I'll make another. Also, this can be a game day food general thread. What does everyone make/want to make/want to eat during the games?

Sup /ck/. Long time lurker and home cook here. Gonna post some pictures of my cooking for critiquing and out of 10 ratings. Starting with a home made fillet steak and chive burger, topped with smoky bacon, Scottish goats cheese and caramelised onion chutney, fresh tomato and cucumber, garnished with fried chilli flakes. Served with triple cooked sweet potato wedges.

Italian food is too simple with no complex flavors; it's just pasta and ketchup. Mexican food on the other hand TAKES FUCKING HOURS but comes out delicious as fuck. What's the one cuisine fellow co/ck/ suckers would dedicate time to actually cook?

So i've done a scary thing last week and am close to the end of the process to open up a Cooking Club at my college. Can you guys throw any advice my way? Has anyone taught someone cooking? My original goal was to help educate the students about healthy eating habits; essentially becoming self sufficient where it comes to taking care of themselves. Now that I opened my mouth about it, the club idea has garnered a lot of interest and now it is a club that will also cook World Dishes. I'm kinda scared and i'd like to hear some input.

5/2 diet anon here again. I want to make some snacks for Monday so I don't have to think about food. I am only allowed 500 calories. What should I make ? Also anyone else on this diet that has input please please chime in. I feel like I am alone on this diet. One good thing is my appetite is way down on my normal days so this is working.
