Here's a Chinese Elm I'm training into a root-over-rock/ semi-cascade style. (Photo from last summer.) I'm needing a new pot, but can't decide on a size. I'm wanting one that's as wide as it is tall, approximately, but I'm unsure of the size I need. (6" looks too small, 8" looks to big) (It's currently in a green pot that's about 5x10 for training, the white pot is 8x10)

Posting here and /fa/ since I'm not sure which board would be better for it. I want to paint/dye/whatever these shoes. What would I use to color them? Leather paint seems like it's more for hard leather than soft, but I don't know if suede dye is the way to go either.

Google has failed me, so I was wondering what you guys would do. my neighborhood has no curbing, and my front lawn always turns into a muddy mess out front where a curb should be. What would be the best way to solve this? add a curb with pavers, pour a concrete curb, etc I think framing a concrete curb would be a bitch and pavers would look half assed. just wondering what you guys would do

WATCH THIS ADDRESS:311 Maple Ave, Snohomish, WA 98290 (CENTENNIAL TRAIL ON THE BENCH) After using the centennial trail the other day I noticed some suspicious activity and came to realize there was a drug deal going down. i promise I would not be posting if this was not true. I am just hoping these guys will stop selling because this forum gets popular, and fast. So please share this everywhere. Remember ALOT of people, including children, visit the centennial trail and the Library every day.

anyone got some experience with upholstry ? I want to refurbish an old couch. the problem is , I don't know what to put in the pillows. it gets ridiculouslyexpensive if I use only Foam and I don't think it's that cool to sink into 10 cm of foam. the picture shows my plan. would this work? how could I improve it or how would you do it ?

Hi all, I have a marble bath vanity which I managed to scratch up. I was looking into ways to make it look new and want to avoid the very expensive diamond polish pads if I can. Has anyone had luck or experience with using Rottenstone or some other cheaper method?

>http://superuser.com/questions/492281/from-a-quality-perspective-what-is-better-turning-volume-up-in-the-software-i There's a paragraph in this article, in which the poster suggests using a passive attentuator with a range of 0 to 1, which would regulate the waveform to avoid audio clipping. I was just wondering if it would be feasible, or worthwhile, to make one for my system since my amp's sound knob is really derpy; I've found it's more stable above the 1/3 mark, but that also makes it way too loud. I ran across a few circuit diagrams, but I'm a bit lost as to which components would produce a 0-to-1 range.

What's the best way to into welding for relatively cheap? I'd like to know how to do it but I don't have too much to spend on it. Is it mostly practice, or would I need to take a class to really get it?

I thought you guys might help me, if I've mistaken the board I apologize. I'll just greentext my issue. >come home >hear cracking noises from the bathroom >can't see anything, but still hear them for about 30min >think the neighbour is doing something fishy >go in the bathroom again >see this (pic related) Called the emergency services but they won't respond unless there is water leaking or fire. I'm at my parents apartment now, and I'll go check it out tomorrow after work. Any input is welcome.

I have a camera that has an internal 3.7V LiPo battery. The problem is the runtime is too short. I want to hack off the battery and replace it with AA's. Would it be as simple as hooking up 3 1.2V NiMH AA's in place of the LiPo? What considerations might also be needed for 3 1.5V alkalines? Charging would be done elsewhere, so I'm not concerned with charging through the camera.
