Hello /diy/ I could use your help. I am taking down my grandmother's swamp cooler for the year and I am having difficulty with the water supply. The water comes from the basement and goes up to the roof. I disconnect the water supply in the basement via a piercing valve, but I cannot seem to stop the dripping from where the water used to be connected. Is there some sort of cap I can buy that would screw over the end that's dripping? I can't tighten this piercing valve anymore without it breaking by the sound of it. I apologize if I'm not using the right terms or describing this very well, I'm not very familiar with these things. I don't have anyway to upload a picture either. pic related, it's me right now

Bicycle attention lights

I'd like to build my own light set for a bicycle. There should be front and rear lights with sidemarkers. Front lights being yellow and rear lights red just like in American cars for example. It should be a light setup (as in not a heavy one) with long lasting batteries and preferably just one switch that activates both lights (rear and front). I only need ON and OFF options so no blinking etc. needer nor wanted. I know nothing about electrics. How should I build this setup? Pic related.

Old thread: >>708779 >I'm new to electronics, where do I get started? There are several good books that are commonly recommended for beginners and those wanting to learn more. There are also plenty of good Youtube channels that teach about the basics as well as advanced concepts. The best way to get involved in electronics is just to make stuff. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Take something apart or build something you find cool on one of the many electronics websites. >What books are there? I've got some lacquered wood that's been sanded (unfortunately 320 grit is the most I have) and cured for about a week now. Any suggestions for some DIY polish or something to bring out a bit of shine in this thing?

Rules Of The Babe Brawl: 1. The Babe Brawl will be consisting of 144 Babes duking it out in a tournament. Matches in the tournament are contested under Triple Threat rules. You vote for only one out of the three given options in the poll. 2. I may or may not accept voting posted in these threads I make for my contest. 3. Voting is open for 24 hours. The girl that receives the most amount of votes over her opposition moves on to Round 2. There is no award for coming in second. No Loser's Bracket or anything. Second and third place will bite the dust from the remainder of the tournament. 4. The bracket it set up as follows. There are 16 divisions with 9 babes in each division. Placement in the bracket was completely randomized. 5. All of the divisions in the tournament are named after Pokémon types because I couldn't think of anything else. 6. Round 1 will start with 144 babes. By Round 2 there will be only 48 left. And by Round 3 there will be only 16 left and I'll explain how the set-up for the tournament is going to change once we get to the end of Round 2. 7. Voting is open for 24 hours. One match per day. It shouldn't take me too long to complete this bracket. I would do two match-ups a day but, I don't want to cause confusion and rush through this tournament. 8. This tournament isn't about who is the most attractive but who is clearly your favorite. Have fun now ladies and gentlemen. 9. Feel free to nominate entries and babes in this contest. The bracket isn't finalized yet. Normal Division Match #1 Jessica Nigri vs. Tyra Banks vs. Candice Michelle

Alright diy I need some help. long story short I'm trying to make a double Flute out of two penny Whistles. I want to attach them by using glue and have them side by side not like in the pic but that's a double Flute. Here's my problems. I need to seal the holes and I need to paint it. How do I paint tin/copper/alliminum shit Idk what it is exactly. And what do you think would be the best way to seal the finger hole permanently with nothing being inside the barrel of the Flute. But paint what kind do I use cause I don't want it rubbing off on my fingers and all that shit

Rubber Puppets

Are there any good tutorials to make rubber puppets (hand or otherwise)? The kind you would expect from monster movies from the 80s and early 90s? I know the process involves making a sculpture and then a mold and fill it with something somehow; but wathever combination of words I search I always find stuff like foam muppets or stop-motion puppets. The critters from "Critters" may be the most straightfoward example of what I'm talking about.

Hey /diy/ I was wondering if someone here have any info (pictures, videos, manuals, designs, etc, etc) about a low-mid budget indoor marijuana grow setup, hot points: 1.illumination (led shit and stuff, lumens per square meter, design, and build), 2.hydroponic system, 3.ventilation(discrete no scent indoors, no scent when air is blown out). The space I have is 1 meter wide, 2 meters long and 2 meters height. I'm sorry about my english, it is not my mother language. >If I get any related info I will post here asap

So Ive got a question. Im going to make my own mook yan jong. I practice wing chun and i figured it would be cheaper to make than buy. I have the schematics but im unsure if i should go all out and use a solid body of wood, or use pvc pipe? If anybody else has made one please let me know what you did and how. Thanks Pic unrelated

Any experience making small USB button boxes? Pic related is a fast sketch of what I want: two big buttons on the top and two small ones at the front, all in a small box. I'm pretty new to making buttons, but I know a few things about electronics. Trustworthy places to buy? Any advice?
