I know there are some brasilfags on this board, I've seen you guys. I'm in Rio and just discovered this existed today, unfortunately yesterday was all of the cool stuff. Did any of you guys go? Still going? Have pics? How was it?

In community college working towards my marketing associates. Thinking of also taking up a Graphic Design certificate. Very interested in design, but wondering if its worth the 36 credits. Does it mean anything to a potential employer even if its just a design job?

graphic design as a career

hi /gd/ I have questions about graphic design as a career, well I wanted to go to college to get a license on graphic design. I applied and I was accepted, a couple weeks ago I went to a meeting to meet all my new classmates, I guess. But I was hearing them talk about how they went to art schools as kids and how they took lessons with art proffesors and I saw a couple of them drawing and i was like "shit i can't do that". I never went to a fancy art school as a child and I never took a formal drawing class. I just liked to make crappy drawings on my school books and I used to draw on a computer, but to be quite honest I don't feel on the level of anyone else. So I wanted some advice on this, I don't know if what I am choosing is the right thing. and btw sorry for my english, is not my main language.

So I am trying to apply a disintegration affect to a close up face. But my problem is when I went through the various steps using the liquefy tool I just stretched the face instead. I wondered if there was another way around it.

Can anyone tell if the card which she hold in a hands is photoshopped? I mean, not the center of it, because I smudged it, but is the whole card pasted into this pic ?

Patterns and Paisley

Does anyone have a good collection of patterns and vector graphics they could share? I'm looking for paisley prints / patterns, but in general I'd like to expand my tool set.

Where do you guys find your inspiration for banners/etc? For the life of me when it comes to being creative in terms of coming up with my own banners/look/design for wallpapers/banners (for sites like twitch), etc. I draw a massive blank

Aside from google and deviantart, do you guys know of a quality site that contains quality video game character renders around the same dimensions. So I don't have to re-size them and have them look off/somewhat pixely, etc?

Alright guys, web designer here. Currently making a site for a *really* shitty client, and I was wondering how well I could strip down this logo without them getting on to me about it. They're paying me $500 to get the site done, and I got about 2-3 weeks. I also blocked out some of the personal info. Ignore the shitty alpha shit btw, I asked them to get me an actual vector graphics file earlier, they should deliver soon. Thanks in advance guys. So far I'm thinking of trimming out the location and phone shit for the actual logo, getting rid of the awful fills in the background, and possibly only leaving in the eyes from the top-right. I haven't gotten started yet, and this is the first out of a bunch of files they'll be sending me. God damn I feel like such an idiot coming here for help.

Post and share the earliest and cringe worthiest designs you've done. Posting a few assignments from highschool. >had to design yearbook covers, best ones would be chosen for the actual cover >mine was actually put into the contest, but didn't make into top 5

I'm trying to help someone put these bras on Amazon, but they're asking for an exact 85% crop of the image. Any ideas how to measure that exactly?

Can someone put a filter so it looks "vintage" or better, and write "lone star state" on the top right corner? If you think it looks fine without the filter, just write the words on gray on whatever color you see fitting. Please respond ;_;
