Hi-Res North Korean Propaganda... 2 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
does ANYONE know where I can find hi-res images of DPRK propaganda posters? Largest I've been able to find is 1920x1080 images for use as wallpaper, but I'm looking to print them out in large format and can't find any luck in hunting them down. Anyone have suggestions?

hey /gd/ i'm stuck on this book cover design. (school project, done in InDesign) I love the front cover and I plan to keep it as is for the most part, but how should I design the rest of it (at least the back) so that it looks like it goes with the front?

Has anyone got anything they've draw printed as embroided/woven iron/sew on patches? I'd had this pencil drawing I liked by Ed Templeton of a few of his Toy Machine sect characters lying around on my laptop and finally got around to vectoring it and coloring it.. I've made it as simple as I can hoping it'll translate to a patch quite well.. I'm waiting on a quote back for it to be done 20cm x 13cm I'll probably redo the text and have it just as Toy Machine's standard font. plan to just stick it onto a bomber I already have a bunch of Skate related patches on.

Hey /gd/, Years ago when borders wasn't a bankrupt piece of shit I made this promotional poster for them, sadly I don't have the original files anymore so would you help me identify the font I used for the heading? I'd like to recreate it as I think it's a good portfolio piece. Thanks in advance.

ITT: We all share tips for glfreelancers starting out. I'll start with a few 1. A good network is key. If yiu have the right contacts, you'll never have to advertose or even look hard for work 2. Don't expect results straight up. Prepare to put in at least a year's worth of effort for the shittest return ever. Contacts or not, with so much competition out there, you need to work hard to stand out and with skill, flexibility, and pricing. 3. You need to have professionalism. A damn good sales amd retail attitude is important, for client meetings and communication. If you seem like yiu don't know what you're doing, you'll be rejected either strauight up, or down the road. 4. Time management! A college expects a project within weeks. Real world clients expect within days. For example, I worked for a desigm firm a few weeks after finishing college. They expected a business card within 20 minutes, flyers and logos within an hour, and websites within 3 days. Anyway, share and discuss.

Gestalt psychology

Does anyone have any good book on gestalt psychology? To me it seems like one of the most important aspects of design theory - It's not as abstract and contradictory as color theory and how colors evoke certain emotions in the viewer. So, any hints on where to find books on the subject?

17 year old Photoslopper here. I want to do gd but I don't have the funds to go to university just yet. I graduate high school in two months, is there anyway to get a internship/entry-level job with my education? I have a working knowledge of Photoshop and I'm still learning Illustrator. Any ideas?

About 5 years ago I developed a site with products (vehicles and machinery) but the product owner doesn't list the prices, each product is quoted individually. The product owner is adamant on sticking to this model because it's worked well for him, and that's how it's done in his industry. The current website asks the user to Enquire Now, where an Add to Cart or View Pricing CTA might normally be, at which point they're presented a contact form. Simple stuff, and it's been working great at getting visitors to open a line of communication for years (>1.1% conversion rate on that, not including phone inquiries. No idea what the sale conversion rate on those leads is though). Anyway, I'm now starting the process of redesigning the website and I'm wondering if there's a better way to handle this CTA. It's always nagged at me as being an imperfect solution. A workaround to meet the business requirements. All I can think of is removing the button and sticking the contact form on the page, with the email address and phone number more prominent so users don't feel like they have to use the form. This will make tracking conversions harder, but that's not a deal breaker. Does anyone here, perhaps with experience in copywriting or a UX background, have any ideas for how to improve the CTA for products that don't have a price? Perhaps just better wording than "Enquire" or "Get a Quote". The goal is to get the visitor talking to the product owner so they can get a quote.
