What are you doing here? Do you honestly think any of these anons have opinions worth the time you could have spent reading good literature? Why am I here? I'm leaving. Fuck, this is a waste of time.

Are any of you guys familiar with Wes Cecil? He has a lot of great lectures on language, civilizations, and philosophy. His Humane Arts series is also pretty good and inspiring. I bet you guys will like him. His latest video is about Scientism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uuo21-9SJBI https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9ff15w4ufviWfv9UfIuByA

Can anyone recommend books on critical theory? I know very little on the subject and want to learn more. Explaining what critical theory is, explaining some of the major movements in critical theory, etc.

Why are rebbitors so butt blasted? Why are they so hive minded? Why do they take offense to anything that counters their opinion? Why do so many people trash 4chin yet advocate the use of rebbit? Should I even bother checking out what rebbit has in terms of literature?

Tall Tenno Krahk A Short Story by Dwin Tenno Krahk had always hated green field with its gifted, grubby grass. It was a place where he felt mad. He was a tall, red, beer drinker with big head and skinny heart. His friends saw him as an average, abundant angel. Once, he had even revived a dying, flower. That's the sort of man he was. Tenno walked over to the window and reflected on his big surroundings. The sun shone like running birds. Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Boris Gratis. Boris was a black devil with red head and tall heart. Tenno gulped. He was not prepared for Boris. As Tenno stepped outside and Boris came closer, he could see the hurt glint in his eye. "I am here because I want to kill him," Boris bellowed, in a green tone. He slammed his fist against Tenno's chest, with the force of 4388 prairie dogs. "I frigging hate you, Tenno Krahk." Tenno looked back, even more angry and still fingering the sharp sword. "Boris, die," he replied. They looked at each other with hate feelings, like two mutated, melodic mice killing at a very ruthless a fight, which had classical music playing in the background and two spiteful uncles fighting to the beat. Suddenly, Boris lunged forward and tried to punch Tenno in the face. Quickly, Tenno grabbed the sharp sword and brought it down on Boris's skull. Boris's red head trembled and his tall heart wobbled. He looked mean, his body raw like a solid, sore shield. Then he let out an agonising groan and collapsed onto the ground. Moments later Boris Gratis was dead. Tenno Krahk went back inside and made himself a nice drink of beer. THE END

I need help finding a book I read back in high school around 2003. It was a about a brother and sister in a semi-post apocalyptic world set in the american great plains. They end up traveling across the plains dodging brush fires and other dangers, trying to make it further west. I can't for the life of me figure out what it was called or how to find it. Any of this sound familiar to anyone?

anyone else read any sartre or similar works? i've read a bit of him and wiki'd some other stuff. I came across this idea of 'the look' and the idea that the intersubjectivity granted by mutual eye contact from two parties/individuals is the basis of the human idea of love. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
