Which one should I get, /n/? https://gainesville.craigslist.org/bik/4356330136.html https://gainesville.craigslist.org/bik/4335889929.html One is carbon fiber while the other is aluminum. There is somewhat of a price difference, but the Giant is much older than the Felt. I personally want the Felt more; its more put together, with the computer and pedals, not to mention its sexy as hell. Is this a no brainer? Should I save my money?

some recommendations?

Its time for me to upgrade, I have a shitty motobecane messenger SS right now. Looking at the Kona Paddy Wagon 2014, its 750. Anybody heard anything? It seems like the nicest steel bike in the price range, and I love the cyclocross geo

Im thinking about buying my first real pair of cycling shoes. I've been looking at the Sidi Eagle 5-fit. My question is what size should I order in? I'm a 10 should I buy 43.5 or 44? Do they fit true to size? Should i go to my LBS and try on a pair of sidis? Tl;Dr: What size sidis should I get if I'm a size 10?

I come to /n/ with a problem. My girlfriend lives about 2 miles away from my house and I want to be able to visit her this summer. My parents can't drive due to disabilities, I'm to poor to get my own car, and my gf's parents are always working. I don't want to get a bike or walk because I don't want to be all sweaty when we hang out and all. So my question is this. What can I forge or buy for around 200 dollars for small distance travel that is different and requires as little energy put forth as possible? Thanks /n/. >pic related. things like this

Okay, /n/. Bike locks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9fLtdZyX-A Sheldon Brown's method has some flaws like above video. However, using longer U-locks that can go around the frame might give better leverage for thieves's bolt cutter. I'm still with Sheldon's. What's your thought on this?

New Bike Questions General, last thread is on autosage: i restore bikes as a hobby. right now i have a frame built for 27 1/4 tires. im not especially bent on restoring it retrogrouch mode. im fine as long as i can make it work as maybe a single speed. might sell it though so i can move on to restoring a new frame/bike. should i sell the 27in rims or should i convert it into 26 or 700c?

I started using my hardtail MTB as a commuter (Spec Hardrock). My LBS, /n/ and other forums urged me to switch to some more road-friendly tires to reduce rolling resistance, as 95% of my commute is by road. Well, today I finally went from 26x2.0 Specialized MTB tires to 26x1.5 Geax Roadsters. I'm very disappointed. These new "road-friendly" tires seem to have increased rolling resistance. I feel more sluggish going up slight inclines, and the max speed I could reach was 45, as opposed to 55-60 with the other tires. So, did my LBS rip me off, am I a retard or am I experiencing a reverse-placebo effect?

Giving up cycling on the Road

Hello /n/, as the Subject reads, i'm giving up cycling on the Road, it's sad it has come to this, bike paths at night are filled with massive spider webs with huge arse spiders, and as a result i have to ride on Sydney's Parramatta Rd, which is filled with semi trailers, and angry motorists. Just last night, i almost landed under a car, i was holding my line near the furthest side of the left lane (as road rules dictate) and a glass bottle was on the kerb, a car decided to pass me with less than an inch of clearance (no joke) and ran me into the bottle, even though the right lane was clear and he could have overtaken at 1:00am in the morning, i collided with the bottle and went face first into the ground, almost to be ran over by a semi trailer, which ended up braking hard only a few meters away from me, not only did it puncture my tire, but the motorists which caused this sped off. What makes you guys ride on the roads? More specifically, this is targeted toward the Australian audience? Why haven't you given up? Even my own family gives me shit, they think cyclists "own the road" even though i have NEVER broken a single traffic rule on a bike, nor on a car and follow the rules as it states, yet i find myself constantly put in harms way because some death cager wants to get home in a hurry. Why are we to blame due to the Governments failing of providing adequate infrastructure for cyclists Pic unrelated
