Hey guys, bought a new derailler yesterday, put it on, adjusted and it shifts without any problems. But the thing that bothers me, and I can't ride beceuse of it, is that the jockey wheel is still touching the largest sprocket. I tried and tried but have no idea why it does that, the screw that should adjust the distance between them is unscrewed all the way up, which should mean that the jockey wheel is far enough from the sprocket but it's not, it's driving me crazy. I tried everything but it didn' get any better. Hope you know what I mean a try to help me, I don't want to sit in a crowded bus tomorrow, I wanna ride my bike :( pic related 1/2

So, here's what's up. My 2007 Isuzu Ascender has tinted windows. One of these windows, front passenger, broke due to something stupid that I did. Thankfully, the tint is holding all the little pieces together. I can still see out of it okay. If I try to drive with the window like this, will it shatter? Or will the tint hold it together? Also, if the police see it, will I get pulled over? I appreciate any help.

Biking in rain

Hi, total /n/oob here. I got a bike a few weeks back (KHS urban soul), before which I hadn't biked since I was a kid. The last two days I've been riding it in the rain. I have a few questions: 1. Wet bike maintenance - is any required? 2. How do you dry waterlogged shoes? Or is there some waterproof pair I can get? 3. Any other considerations?

Accomplishment Thread

Post your recent bike-related accomplishments that you'd like to share, /n/! Can be anything from upping your miles, installing some new gear, improving your form, discovering a new route etc etc. For me, the rollers I ordered came this week so I manned up and learned how to ride them. Scary as fuck at first but cakewalk once you get the technique down.

What are my best options for riding in the snow? New tires? Sorry in advance if this seems like a noob-ish question.

Hey /n/. I bought this Carrera TDF, alongside a Elite Veloso rolling road thing from a customer of mine. I've had it 2 weeks and covered over 150 miles. I'm really enjoying it. I'm looking to get quite serious about it and start upgrading the bike. I want to upgrade parts I can then put on a lighter frame later. Any tips for a new guy getting into cycling?

Person curious about flying here. I grew up fascinated by planes and at the weekend ended up at my local airport watching some of the commercial airliners taking off & landing, and had a look at a Concorde. Anyway... I got talking to somebody about getting a private pilots license. I woudn't be doing it to get work, I'd be doing it for the sole reason of obtaining a license – is that a dumb idea? Courses are £6.5/£8.5k in a Piper PA-28/PA-38. And I could -just- about afford this over 18 months or so. 1) Should I? 2) What can I do once I get a license?
