name some sub 5k cars you dont see in the sticky, and dont see posted all the time in "wut kar is gud" threads. i personally like the chrysler 300m, aside from the transmission its decently reliable, looks pretty good, had a comfy interior, and handles better than you think (sort of like an older accord) >plus, dat cool green illumination behind the gauges but that transmission is fucking glass, it will go out every 80k like clockwork no matter what you do

What's the best way to shift for max acceleration? Full powershifting? How much clutchdrop do you do into each gear? What RPM to shift at?

Sup /o/, I don't know how to drive a manual and I have a question. Are manuals usually jumpy when you shift gears? I was in my friends manual VW gti today and it was jumpy when he would switch gears. Is this normal or his transmission messed up/he doesn't drive it correctly or what?

Most people here are not real car enthusiasts that build cars. Most are autists with shitboxs that talk shit. "Hurrr civics are crap, the best way to make over 500hp is to turbo an engine from the hunkyard" etc Most of them drive shit boxs for example r31 skylines, exas, vl commodores, poorly maintained aw11s... Then their are a few people here that actually are enthusiasts... Their decent posts normally get ignored and called retarded by autistic people who only dream about cars. For example example the enthusiast might post something like "to build a 500 horse power engine you should use quality parts to make sure it's reliable." The autists normally respond with "LOL why not just put a big turbo on a ka24de from the junkyard, being worn out means the compression is low and great for a turbo build" and then the autists post lots of pics of cars they will only dream about and argue about modifications they have never even done personally. Is my impression wrong, if so whats yours?

I'm compiling a list of my future car choices, and I've run into a small issue. My primary concern will be performance and handling (shocking, I know). I've got the usual suspects as far as sports cars and grand tourers are concerned, but when it comes to more mainstream sedan/coupe models, I can't decide if I should go all the way up to mid-size cars because they'll usually sacrifice some handling due to the size, and will typically be more powerful to push the extra weight around. So basically, do you think I should keep the M5s, CTS-Vs, E-Class AMGs, etc. of the world on the list, or stick to the compacts only?

I own an '05 Pontiac Grand Am SE. A little while back I had to jump my friends car and the hood I couldn't get my hood locked afterwards. Ive spent some looking at it and and it seems to be stuck in the open position, That is the wire for the release has a good amount of slack and doesn't move anything when I play with the release. I can move it manually to the left ( what I assume is closed) however when I close the hood again the part moves back to where it started and doesn't lock. any ideas?
