(pic not related) Ok, I fell into some money and can finally get good gear. But now I have no idea what to get. I shoot for hobby mostly but I've reached that age where everyone I know is having babies and get married so I'm asked to do shoot weddings and new born often. I don't feel comfortable spending too much, I'm still in school so top price is 1500. Right now I have a rebel XS that with the kit 18-55 lens. What should I get first? tl:dr Cheap canon gear to move up in the world.

Does anyone have any tips or tutorials for shooting 2 female models at once? Everything I find is geared more toward male-female couples, which I've shot plenty of. It's not going to be a nude shoot, but definitely on the artistic side. The dynamic of posing 2 people at once is fairly new to me. [EXIF data available. So I had a small photoshoot for a friend earlier today, and was trying to capture some shots of him snowboarding. I feel like I had all the right settings, highest possible shutter speed, low iso, etc, but he kept coming up blurry. Ive never had this problem and i have no idea what im doing wrong. Nikon D3100 on clearance for $300 at Target. Worth it for a first camera (to own, not use) or wait for a deal on another camera?

Just to let fellow photographers know... Robert Bellot (Bob) died the other day. Robert did the original "Alien" shot/poster. I was a good friend of his and we have talked over the last 20 years about that famous "shot". Robert needed the money, about a $1000 in 1978-79 and declined the residuals/royalties and opted for a one time payout. He had no idea. But he did move on to doing the Rolling Stones Albums and Areosmith Albums "Nights in the Rut" done in Newrak NJ. I just wanted to let peep know that he passed and may have influenced one life or two.
