Reverse Mounting Lenses for Macro

Reverse Mounting Lenses for... 48 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
Hello /p/, What kind of lenses and lens combinations have delivered you good results? For reverse mounting a single lens, the lower the focal length the higher the maginification, so I'm shooting for the 24-50mm range. How about zoom lenses (like the kit), do they give much worse results compared to primes? Zoom lenses would be great as you can control the maginification. I've also tried reverse mounting a lens on top of another but I had to shoot wide open to avoid vignetting so the DOF was unbearably thin and focus stacking wasn't an option when hand holding the camera. In my case it was a 50mm on top of a 135mm, and the results were pretty bad due to thin DOF and aberrations.

Hello, newfag to /p/ here. I don't know if this question gets asked often, but how well do modern smartphone camera's compare to real/dedicated photography gear? Major manufacturers seem to be getting better and better when it comes to build-in camara's. Is there still much of an advantage to buying a real camera?

professional photographers please respond. what would be a good amount to pay a photographer for a single photograph? not all the rights to it, just to use for a run of 100 promotional demo cd's. i kinda told her i'm not rich and now she seems reluctant to give a price. pic not related.

Hey /p/ I just started with photography, I got a D3200 with 18-55mm lens. I went out yesterday to a park to try and take some photos and tried using Lightroom on this one*. Its the first time I used it, I guess I should watch a few tutorials on Youtube or something. Dose anyone have any resources/pdf's/youtubers they can recommend to teach me about iso and aperture and that f thing, or post production in Lightroom. Thanks *Pic related. Broken Polaroid Instant 300

My daughter's Polaroid Instant 300 broke because she dropped it and broke the flash. The flash is pretty banged up and the camera can't take pictures anymore. It's her birthday next month and it has sentimental value to her so I wanna fix it for her birthday. Where can I get replacement parts or something?

Should I use Lightroom to import my photos? What's your workflow? I want to pick one importing solution and stick with it.
