I just came to the realization that I'm a gearfag... Partly because I just like gadgets and stuff. I'm a far cry from a photgrapher and I'm OK with that. With that in mind, I need a storage solution for all my gear. Having it lay around the house and sitting in various boxes is a huge pain in the ass. So, how do you organize your shit or does all your gearz fit nicely into a single bag? >not my gear [EXIF data available. Club Photography Postpro

Righto chaps, I've found myself doing a lot of party photos and I've been interested in some other places that do them to varying proficiency, which I'd like to learn how to do them. Posted is a folder of some shots, none of which are mine and nor do I own any copyright. Assuming all the photo came down to is postpro, how would you make something similar on Lightroom? Bonus points for guessing how the flash was used. Thanks and good luck. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qdcvhdp0g42ryiy/AADwIa2VV7XzYQ6XFW8OEU0Ba

My friend has fallen on hard times and she only has her art to keep her head up high. She doesn't know I posted here and I don't know if this is the appropriate board to post this on, but she has a kickstarter going. If anyone could help her out (even a dollar) that would make a random person very happy. Sorry if I broke any rules posting this here but I didn't know where else to post (besides maybe the /b/ boards (lol)). Anyway, thanks for reading this. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1363473645/jena-marie-photography-mobile [EXIF data available. Small studio, help!

Small studio, help! 3 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
Hey guys, please help me out with my small studio setup. The studio space is about 7 meters long x 4 meters deep. (That's 23 feet x 13 feet approx.) Due to the small size of it and light reflecting everywhere, I was going to paint the studio black. A. Keeping in mind the small of the studio, I know I can't move the lights back a whole lot, so I was thinking about getting 4 strobes: 2 Alienbee B800 (320 watts) and 2 Alienbee B400 (160 watts) The reason being that I could have the B800 for key and fill, and the others for maybe fill or kicker or something, but if I run into them having too much power, that the B400 would be ok with their lesser power. Any ideas on this? Should I get maybe 1 B800 and 3 B400, or all B400 or all B800 in case I went on a location or something? B. For lighting accessories, I was thinking of this: Beauty dish 22" or 28" (White) (Any idea which would be better?) Octabox 48" or 60" 2 Large softboxes (30" x 60") My concern/questions with the accessories is this: Are the softboxes too big for the space? And secondly, I'd like the ability to make contrasty/dramatic lighting, is the size of these softboxes all going to just make me have very repeated bland soft lighting? Should I maybe add in a strip light with a grid and take something out? What do you guys think? Any help would be awesome, thank you!!!! [EXIF data available. Lens Flare

Lens Flare 0 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
Took this the other day pretty average comp. Flare is probably due to the inferior UV filter glass and being an idiot pointing camera towards the sun. Does anyone here try intentionally introduce flares in their photos? [EXIF data available. Nikon J3 with a 10-30mm for $199. http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sdtid=7034796&sku=NK1J31030KRFB&ref=cj Coupon code: CANUDIGIT for one hundo twenty off. Only bad part, crop factor is atrocious (2.7x). And you're gonna wanna buy a pancake lens to make it pocketable.
