New Model

New Model 24 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
Hello everyone, long time no see. I sometimes post my origami on here, sometimes just a notification, sometimes instructions, and sometimes a question. Today I have a new model for you all, called "Setting Sail." I came up with the idea yesterday during an torrential downpour. I have diagrams almost done. However, due to the nature of submissions for Origami USA, I'm going to postpone posting them just yet. If the model is accepted, and once the rights return to me, I'll be glad to post them. Today I have two questions. The first is concerning the type of origami this is. What is /po/'s opinion on "scenario" origami, that is, origami that depicts a particular happening? Likewise I'd appreciate any ideas for further study. The second question is about origami publishing. I want to try publishing my works but I don't know the correct way to go about it. I'm not looking to gain much out of it beside distribution of my work. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Alright, can any of you guys... 5 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
Alright, can any of you guys recommend a tutorial or a simple project to get me started on the right path? This paper craft shit looks pretty fun but fairly complicated. I've found one that looks cool but also simple, an old school arcade game and also a NES controller. Ideally I'd like to end up being able to create my own towns/cities (both modern and medieval/fantasy) and also try and make some DnD inspired creations, as well as the usual vidya and cartoon stuff. random unrelated image from the depths of 4chan
