Hey /po/ I'm completely new to papercraft, and started looking into it because it seemed helpful for a cosplay I'd like to make. I want to cosplay zant from twilight princess, and I've found a layout for his helmet, but I have questions about assembling it. Can a normal printer be used for printing the pattern? And I've red tutorials for covering the paper in resin to make it suitable for wearing, but a friend has told me about her method of making something from craft foam. Could someone with papercraft experience lend some insight?

Warhammer Townscape

In 1988, GW released Warhammer Townscape, a collection of thirty-nine card buildings. They were pretty simple, but of decent quality, especially for the day. These are not limited to Warhammer Fantasy--these can be used in Lord of the Rings games as well as Warhammer 40k, representing a town on a low-tech Imperial world. So I thought i would share with you /po/ Print them, put them on foamcore, cover them with balsa wood, whatever. Enjoy. https://www.sendspace.com/file/3lx09h

Paper Stars general

With the old thread gone it seems appropriate to begin anew. Feel free to post your collections, your works in progress, or your star hordes! This was my anniversary present to my girlfriend. It was my first time ever doing stars, and they didn't come out as clean as I would've liked. I used three packs of star paper I picked up from a hobby store. I also cut up some receipts and tickets from dates we'd been on and folded those. It took around fifteen hours total. I threw in some larger construction ones to fill up the box which I regret. they were too large, poorly done, and clashed with the rest. I had an old necklace box which I repurposed and tied with a red ribbon.

Painting paper???

what up /po/pos? So my girlfriend is busy with this kinda stuff, weaving old newspapers and I really hope you guys can help me out. I think other people will find this stuff also useful. My questions are: - How do you guys paint your paper creations? - What kind of paint do you use? - Do you use a primer? - Do you know what kind of stuff she needs to coat it? some thing that hardens and is transparent. Google was not my friend since i couldn't find any answers to these paper related questions.. thnx for the help!

This is a "mai ogi" or dance fan. It is about 33 cm long and when opened about 52 cm wide. It is in good condition but it is vintage therefore it isn't perfect. Please look at the pictures carefully to see that there are some dots and marks and discolorations. Other hand fans on our etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/VintageFromJapan?section_id=6181926

So as you might have seen, I recently posted a picture of my new model, the Fat Man. The design required a larger paper than I had, so I finally, after five plus years of folding my own models, decided to use a better paper. Since I'm not made of money I settled on tissue foil. I have a few of my model side to side with kami/writing paper versus tissue foil for comparison. The biggest change was with the crab. The kami couldn't hold the shape of the shell at all, and the resilience of the tissue foil allowed for the model to be standing rather than flat like it once was

Looking for origami books for intermediate. Need good staff, not modular. I prefer traditional models.
