Also, Mordheim general. What is Mordheim? Mordheim was a tabletop game published by Games Workshop in 1999. It is a skirmish variant of the company's Warhammer Fantasy game but set on a warband or "skirmish" scale. It was produced and later moved to specialist games, but is no longer supported. You can find the rulebook for free online, as well as updated fan-rulebook as well as a fan-made supplement Bordertown Burning. Highly recommended for any fa/tg/uy, it allows you to play a warband of a dozen or so models, in a quasi wargame RPG type of game. You can get started with just a box of Empire militia.

Sup /tg. Since I've never really been able to wrap my head around learning certain games (I suck at basic math) I decide to make a simple d100 percentage system which can be used to fit any setting. The only issue is skill trees are needed for skills/items for the specific world you are creating. This is a time consuming process but is also a lot of fun. The setting I'm working on at the moment medieval-era weaponry. Basically you're basic fantasy weaponry you could expect in a game. Skill trees come in five ranks and have point buys for skills. There is a maximum of three skills available per rank. With each rank the lethality of the skills increases along with cost. Rank one would be basic skills needed to use the weapon/skill, rank 5 would be something only elite masters with years of experience could accomplish (think of it like the point buy system in skyrim). You must buy a skill from each rank to progress to the next. So please, post your skill trees for a weapon/skill which interests you. You don't have to worry about the game mechanics, just that there is a natural progression of lethality/usefulness in the skill.

I really like the idea of having a sort of tribal deck built around keyword abilities. I want to make one of each colour. So far there's my green defender deck, white flanking, black shadow, and blue flying. Are there any keywords I could build around for a deck with red?

I know this question may sound retarded, but do you think players should be allowed to do anything they want with their PCs? I've been running my current game for about two months now, with party made of male PCs. One of them is a anti-hero-esque paladin who wears an ornate, vampire bat-themed armor and who has never shown himself, not even his face. That is until last game, when the blackguard turned out to not be a man, but an elf female. This was pretty annoying because I don't like when players keep things secret about their PCs, but the way the PC acts is just grating. When wearing the black armor the paladin is stoic, cold and with a mindset that would fit a Space Marine. But outside the armor she is a complete flirt, her mannerisms are described as "sultry in every sense" and she doesn't care about clothing. Which means whenever she is out the armor she spends the time completely naked, not even caring for wearing shoes. This isn't as much of a problem as she has only shown herself when only her teammates are present (First by a bonfire in the forest and then with the fighter in their shared inn room), so to the world she is still an ominous (if righteous) looking black knight. So, I don't know what to think. Should I tell the player to retcon this? She says she intended this from the start, and all my other players approve of the new developments, specially the fighter who spent a night with her (The PC). What would you do /tg/? pic related

We should create a /tg/ top 50 board games list. Pic is my nominee. You can post games you think should be on the list.

I have a question, /tg/. If white people are vanilla and black people are chocolate, what are orcs then? Kiwi? What about other fantasy races?

So I want to run a campaign of DnD set in the very early middle ages, where kings are more like warlords than aristocrats; where the world is made up of a few scattered towns and villages and everything in between is dangerous wilderness; where nobody really knows what's over that mountain range; and where fantasy creatures like elves and giants are elusive and no one can be sure whether or not they really exist. The issue that I have is that I don't know how I can reconcile the player classes/races with the setting. If Gomlo the Dwarf and Liggilis the Elf are wandering around in a party, they'd basically be walking head-explosions. The same thing with magic users. Arcane magic users would be seen as dangerous heathens; and divine magic users would be seen as the second coming of the Lord for all their meagre powers. So basically, the question is how I could reconcile player freedom of character generation with the setting?
