Rumour mill's been spinning, folks, don't sound great. >Nerfing magic in general - lower range of spells, increase cost of casting >Pruning special lores/spellsets >Boosting anti-magical things into the stratosphere I doesn't look so good for the more magic-heavy armies, especially for those that pretty much require regular magic for competitiveness or even lore-friendliness. I know that Suncaller-Sebenkhana and Eceithaiche Mistweaver/Sedgefiend spam dominated my local meta through the latter part of 3rd, but if that's what's being fixed, there's got to be a better solution then just taking a hatchet to magic as a whole. Imagine having our delicious Egyptian sun-basking crocodiles not using their sun magic or irish fog/plant things not filling everything with mist for a laugh. Anyway, talk about fluff, builds, rules, tournaments, why Dorgottan Multitudes are bollocks and Arigani are the dog's bollocks, etcetera, etcetera. Fictitious WHF variant thread go.

You are Percius Aurex, Captain of a raider-class pirate vessel. Formerly the 14th son of a noble family, you fled that life in search of adventure. Returning home over 15 years later during an infiltration you found your family upon the brink of ruin and your father assassinated long ago. Having left home behind once more, you rejoined Lord Wilson's wolfpack in the frontier of Sector Corgus, faced the betrayal of your fellow Captain Morix, captured your first prize ship, and received a sizable portion of the world your wolfpack now calls home. Having assigned your sister Alica to Captain the captured prize ship and oversee your operations upon the Wolfpack's adopted 'home world', you embarked upon your first raid as a Captain of a proper wolfpack. For just over four months your vessel stalked the Valkyria system, looking to gather your fellow Captains and then hunting prey. A ship from Brinica Prime was your victim, and you were shocked to find that the vessel's officers quarters was actually a terestial ship of sail within the voidship. Taking the flippant Lord Fulton and those present as your captives, your men assisted Edgar Oslo in capturing the ship's bridge in exchange for some kickbacks. The Royal Brinican Marines refused to yield the ship without a fight, however, and managed to inflict heavy casualties among the wolfpack's armsmen. In the bloody fighting, your veteran armswoman, Ana, was severely wounded. Chief of Medicae Orsola Magnus has managed to keep Ana stable, despite an inability to locate two cybernetic implants that she had hoped to locate for Ana's wounds. For now, Ana's fate is simply in the hands of the Emperor.
