>The United States discovers during WWII that one of their bombers is capable of producing a never-ending supply of bombs. >Not only is it capable of it, it continues to do so, regardless of whether it is flying or the hatches are open >As a result, the US is forced to detonate a large number of explosives, and often go to war as a method of doing so without "wasting" it. How would this change the world?

What if vampires were weak under a full moon because moonlight is merely reflected sunlight?

Hey look it's the Gummi Bears RPG! Because you didn't know you wanted to play a Gummi Bear, drinking Gummiberry Juice and bonking ogres on the head and discovering the wondrous inventions of the ancient Gummis that your degenerate elders have lost the capacity to operate. New version includes complete* rules. Next edition might have pre-made canon characters and background fluff.

statting "modern" weapons for 3.5/pathfinder

statting "modern"... 24 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
Just something fun (well fun for me anyway) was coming up with a way to stat 20th century weapons into 3.5/pathfinder so far one i had was: Rocket launcher: Range: 540ft Dmg: 3d6, (2d6 to everyone in a 10ft radius (reflex DC15 halves)) crit: x3 options: armor piercing: makes rocket a touch attack frag: target always counts as flat-footed mnemonic crystal warhead: all spells and enchantments within blast radius are instantly dispelled and any casters injured by the rocket cannot cast spells for 2d6 rounds or a successful DC15 heal check is made. what do you think? Still trying to come up with ways to translate rapid-fire weapons suggestions would be nice. or your own weapon ideas also.

Long ago, there was a man by the name of Rivage Zarth, who sought to revolutionize the world with the invention of the G Systems. These massive structures could create and rebuild any advanced piece of technology, provided one had the data to recreate it. Of course, just as there are those that would use such technology for noble purposes, there were those that would misuse that same technology for their own twisted desires. A great tragedy occurred when one of the G Systems in North America had overloaded, the massive outpouring of energy engulfing the entire world. Out of over seven billion people, only one hundred million had survived. In the aftermath of what became known as the "Great Fall", humanity began to rebuild...

If you were a shapeshifting spirit with no "true form," you could appear as anything roughly humanoid in size and shape, you could make yourself selectively visible to individual people, and you operated in modern day Earth, why would you NOT make yourself look like a stereotypical "humanoid angel" when dealing with humans? (Except when trying to blend in as a human.) I.e. pretty human with avian wings, maybe something vaguely resembling a halo. The image is so deeply ingrained into people all over the world (except for predominantly non-Abrahamic countries like India and China), even if their respective religions' angels actually look quite different. People automatically associate it with "benevolent spirit" so much that assuming an angelic form starts you off on a good foot, regardless of what your intentions actually are. Even if you are not actually an angel, you can openly admit that and say you just like the look, and people will still be predisposed to think of you in a trustworthy manner because of that cultural image in their brain.

Guys I need character ideas, got two slots to play with, preferably something doable in 4e. currently working on a changeling paladin/bard, naked druid hamadryad, and something based on a human revanant who doesn't take extended rests for a permanent infinite bonus to skill checks, pic semi related.

So, I was bullshitting with my buddy and we realized: Dragon Hordes are totally just huge, secret, slightly inneffecient banks for kingdoms. A king has his treasury or a large sum of it "stolen" by a dragon. Decades later, the great great great etc etc grandson of that king needs money. Withdraw time. he sends adventuring party after adventuring party. Each one that fails feeds the dragon and adds interest to the stash, when one eventually succeeds, their pay will be paltry compared to the amount the coffers refill by. Its a win/win for everyone except the adventurers who dont succeed. The kingdom has its money protected by a dragon, the dragon gets to sit on a huge pile of gold and eat shitty parties. Hell, maybe theres even a small percentage put aside for resurrecting the dragons. Point being, kings and dragons are doing this on purpose. Wake up sheepventurers!

Greetings, elegan/tg/entlemen. Im currently DMing Pathfinder for two groups, in the same world no less, and I have this idea for a .. quest. But I would like your ideas and feedback about it: Typical go and hunt the big bad monster, receive bacon gets turned into the classic "you are the actual prey." I was thinking of placing the hunt onto an island, to make it harder for the party to get away. My main questions are - which party do you think would enjoy this more? The heavily RP oriented party? Or the party that plays it more like a MMORPG? And, how about ideas for the hunters.. or innocents that get killed? So far my ideas for hunters are: - the Savage - big lizardkin barbarian - the Sniper - archery focused guy - the experienced hunter - old, skilled, grumpy and to the point - the rich aristocrat - in for the thrill and easy way to kill someone and get away with it - the infiltrator/assassin - female, beautiful, deadly What are your ideas, thoughts?

Playing a catfolk scout. So say my carry capacity allows me to just barely wear my armor, then I'm poisoned with STR damage and i'm exceeding my carry capacity. Do I fall? Can I not walk? I can't find it in the rules.
