Hey teeg, I need some random sights one can see in mainly LE City with magocracy (Emphasis on slavery). I want to upset my NG party a bit, but mainly I want them to get the feeling they are no longer in more Good-oriented cities of the North. What I have so far: - (regulated) beggars - (regulated) child beggars - slavers with fresh slaves - The pit - a large pit in centre of the market in which criminals get thrown after very worst crimes. They have hand and feet broken then a bucket of flesh-eating slugs thrown in there. Screaming lasts from two to four days. - dispair upon faces of many (enslaved) people - many have become slaves due to debt I do not want to be edgy, but to present harsh, cruel and efficient Far South. thanks

PREVIOUS THREADS: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Strike+Witches+of+Gallia “… after the repairs were complete, on December 17th, the Wright Sisters were prepared for the actual first voyage of the Wright Flyer I. The wind averaged at least 20 miles an hour, and with the launching rail pointed into the wind, they gained the necessary airspeed for takeoff. Total time of flight was 12 seconds, but an important and historical 12 seconds it was-“ As Daphne does up your hair for the morning, she asks, “What are you reading?” “Book on the Wright Sisters.” You hold up your copy of “Into the Skies”, one of your most treasured possessions even. The worn leather binding and the somewhat pulpy pages spoke of its age, but it was timeless to you, considering who signed it in the back, the woman herself: Orvillia Wright. You were just a little child then when you had her sign your book. She seemed larger than life. Quite literally considering you were only about two or three feet tall at the time, but it’s the thought that matters. This was the woman who invented yaw-pitch-roll directional control and applied it to planes, and created the first practical heavier-than-air airplane. You are the Rookie, a P-39 Airacobra Fighter Witch, Flying Sergeant, member of the 509th Joint Fighter Wing, and one of your greatest heroes is Orvillia Wright. “Aren’t the Wright Sisters the ones that got into a patent war with Curtiss?” You twitch a bit. “You know, the Curtiss Flying Company over the use of their patents?” Daphne is quite clueless at this as she styles your hair the way you like it but damn it! These are your heroes! “I hear it set back aviation design by years!” You can’t be mad at her, BUT DAMN IT. > “… maybe.” > “Ah, shut up, Daphne!” > “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” > Write in

Do you fluff out your "women of negotiable affection" in your games or is it fade-to-black as soon and someone mentions he/she wants to visit the red-light district?

Hey /tg/ I'm running a Summoner-only game in Anima with everybody starting at level 1 and after thinking about it for a while (plus reading various articles about it) I'm starting to have my doubts. How do I make a campaign/quest that doesn't TPK while still being enjoyable.

Why doesn't the Imperium move most of its female Guardsmen to the Adeptus Sororitas so they'll have more superpowered chicks instead of regular ones?

Routiers, Brabançon and other Mercenaries

/tg/ is the de facto history board, so I figured I'd try asking here. I have some questions about the nature of medieval mercenaries, specifically the ones who came from Flanders, Brabant and Hainault. First of all, was mercenary service considered to be a seasonal occupation or a full time vocation. Would tradesmen turn into mercenaries when the opportunity crept up, or was there a population that did nothing but wait for mercenary work to present itself. Secondly, were Flemish or Brabançon mercenaries led by Flemish/Brabançon knights? How did feudalism work in a region where so much of the wealth was concentrated in a couple of cities (which so frequently picked opposite sides in wars).

If scaled to 40k correctly (yes I know 40k scale is off on a lot of models, I'm thinking approximately) how tall would the various titans be? Specifically the Warlord and Emperor classes. I need to know because of reasons. Large things may or may not appear in the next year or so if the heights are near what I want

>be living in squalid conditions and poverty because of the kingdom's economic depression and poor job market >hear word of a job opening as a tavern guard working from midnight to the crack of dawn, five days a week, for a mere 120 copper each week >tavern is famous for its animal-costumed bardic entertainment golems, but going bankrupt because of scandals over the golems' violent malfunctions, and the corpselike odor that suggests they might be necromantic creations instead >accept job out of desperation, told to come only on the first night >be left alone in highly secure chamber surrounded by all sorts of magical apparati, including a scrying device that lets me remotely view the tavern's rooms, two generators of walls of force on each side, and a set of illuminating globes >note from previous guard explains that the golems are set to a "free roaming" mode each night so as to not lock up their animating energies, but that they might mistake me for a golem not in animal costume, and thus attempt to flay my skin and replace it with such a furry costume >note also explains that the magical apparati all draw upon the same limited pool of arcane energy, so I must conserve the mana if I am to keep an eye on the golems and ward them off with the walls of force >strange force from outside of reality mystically compels me to NOT leave, and to return each night against all reason What should I do if I am to survive?
