I'm thinking about taking advantage of space A travel, but I don't really understand how it works. Anyone on trv have experience with these flights? I've got a couple specific questions too. >Will space A accommodate round trip travel? Or just one ways >What is the actual likelihood of getting a choice destination?

Hello /trv/ The day after tomorrow I'll leave to Marakkech, Morocco for a week. I'm still looking for a few tips for day trips. Interests are architecture, history, culture and nice sceneries. Would Essaouira be worth the long trip to visit for a day? Ourzazate is already on the list as part of a multi day desert trip. I also have an additional question. Yes, I have read the sticky, I know I won't score (I'm socially awkward and will sleep in a dorm) and I know it's an islamic country. But I'd still like to ask how approachable women are in Morocco. Thank you.

So this poor kid is murdered by his POS mom all in the name of social media. Now, even in death, some other POS is still keeping it going. I am rarely shocked in the interweb but this is disgusting. This Facebook loser seriously made a page called "Garnett Spears RIP" to use the little guy in attracting people to his spam. I didn't click the link because even I am not that screwed up (The link says it's the boys last moments) but people who have commented say it's spam. If there ever was one person who really is owed by social media it's that poor kid. I hope this FB loser get's their ass handed to them.

Turn 20 in a few months and climbing out of depression, I've always wanted to travel so I think that starting now would help a great deal. I want to travel but I'd also like to help others so I'm looking to get involved with a volunteer project of some sort. Anyone had experience with one they could tell me about? I enjoy my own company so plan on travelling alone for most part, so any tips/first time stories would be cool. >oh and I'm from the UK

hey /trv/ I am so so sorry if you get asked this a lot (you probably do) but i'm looking for advice on a backpack it will be my first time travelling and i'm going to Indonesia for a month in July. I won't be camping, might do some pseudo-hiking up Mount Bromo (but will most likely be done on horseback) and will be staying in hostels I have no issue with travelling light and intend to take only a couple of t-shirts, 1 pair of shorts etc with this in mind can you recommend any backpacks for me? I went to an outdoors store today and tried on the Osprey Talon 33L. It felt okay but the sales guy said people usually go for something bigger (a la 60L) but honestly this sounds like way too much I was also looking at the REI Lookout 40L and the Osprey Farpoint 40L but again, not sure if this is too much any and all help is appreciated

Welp... Now what?

So I just got back to the US about a month ago after teaching abroad in Daegu, Korea for a year. My contract ended March 1, 2014 and my girlfriend and I traveled from Korea to Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, Alicante, London, and then back to France before we parted ways (now doing semi-long distance). Anyway, what are some ideas or suggestions to get back out into the world again? I got a job in instituional software sales and it's alright, but I miss my girlfriend and I don't think I'm cut out for the office life. Thanks!

Sup, /trv/? My mom is a surgeon and got a job in wales so we are moving because she wants to start over after a divorce with my father. I'm pretty bummed because I can't imagine ever wanting to leave america. My travel so far has been domestic, but I am passionate about it. She says we are moving to Newcastle, which seems pretty shit. Does anyone know if this is a good place for a 24 y/o NEET? I enjoy climbing and cigars but I'm sure it's not going to be as good as home as I'm coming from Astoria where obviously everything in the world is at my fingertips. All the british TV I've seen has talked nonstop shit about wales, and I hear cardiff and swansea are cultureless pieces of shit with chavs and agressive "urban youth". My mom is trying to say it's not like that though and wants me to get excited about the beaches and stuff but I don't lift and don't like going out without a shirt. Anyone have an opinion on newcastle?

What country should I travel to that's really poor and my American dollars will make me look like a player. But the catch is I can't be killed/shot/robbed/raped in the country.

Englishman here who visited America for the first time last month (and loved it.) Travelling there has given me a thirst for seeing more of the world and for some reason, one of the countries high up on my list is Turkey. Anyone ever been or worked there and can shed some light on what it's like for a foreigner? Any Turks care to explain what life is like there?

couchsurfing

How legit is couchsurfing.com? It kinda seems too good to be true. I imagine a lot of shady stuff goes down behind it all, like drug parties and sex work. Am I just being negative? Does anybody here have any experiences? If anybody is a girl and has experiences too, that's a plus. I've been thinking about couchsurfing alone but I dread that I'd be asked for sex work.
