Sorry if this has been posted many times before. So I'm talking to some recruiters for china they say that I have to come on a tourist visa, then go to hong kong to "exit," the country and get a z-visa. Is this a con? Supposedly the school pays for my trip to hong kong and the visa, but I still have to buy a plane ticket. I don't have the 2 years experience required to get a legit z-visa right away so this seems to be my only choice, but don't want to end up wasting time and money.

Treasure Hunting Thread

I've tried this once before, but the thread sort of flopped. I thought that more of you would be interested, but I guess I didn't contribute much info to the thread. Haven't travelled before, but I'm saving, and I'd like to know some good spots to hunt for treasure legally. >ITT: Treasure hunting, metal detecting, beach combing and other places. >Post stories, pictures, most importantly locations. I'll start: I live in Georgia, we have alot of old wood and paper mills here. Find out where one of them is, and then go metal detect around some of the old buildings. One of the things that's exciting to find are the old work tokens: Tokens that had value at their work places and local towns. Also detect along the riverbanks, as that's where alot of stuff would end up at the mills. Also look on the Flint River for arrowheads: If you comb the banks, you'll find a bunch of them, and they're completely legal to take. Als Dahlonega is a pretty cool spor to go, but it's sort of watered down: Can't pan the river for gold, and the places you can go panning are all seeded - Gold added to them. Same for gem panning. One cool place you have to go for treasure hunting is Grave's Mountain. The owner only opens it up for a few days a year, but it's an amazing treasure hunting experience, especially after it rains. You can find excellent bits of lapis lazuli and some of the best rutile I've ever seen. You guys have any cool places to check out? Any metal detecting places in thr UK, Ireland, South America, any other part of the states?

In Riverside CA, seems like theirs nothing but fast-food around here and the one "grocery" store I did find sold me pic related. Whats edible in southern California that's not just flavored fat?!

Ok /trv/, redpill me on why I should leave USA and travel. All arguments accepted. All ideas tolerated. Ideally, I am looking for somewhere with a decent gun culture, not infested by liberals/hippies, and with authentic-type people who like to chill and shit. Also I don't like heat and am pretty basic when it comes to food. I like to party too, but not drugs.

I've got 109215 QANTAS frequent flyer miles. Fiancee said I could use them for myself in the store if I want. https://store.qantas.com/Catalogue.a2?ProductCategoryId=14459 Having a look at the 'experiences'. Anything here anyone would recommend? I skydive frequently so anything other than that to be honest. Not afraid of heights or anything I can't see anything that is a no-go. Anyone recommend any of these? I'm on the Gold Coast in Australia (QLD) but will be visiting Melbourne, Sydney, London, Vienna and Dubai in the next 12-18 months. >also, I can do things valued up to about 150-160k points if I pay the difference, prices are extortionate but I have lots of money

Hey /trv/ I've got five days to spend in Ireland and five days to spend in Scotland. Plan my holiday for me! Not really into major tourist attractions but I'd like to get the full taste of each respective culture. I also love the outdoors and hiking. Pic not related

Hello /trv/, So I'm traveling to Riga in Mid-May with some friends, will stay there two weeks. Is it a nice city? Which places should I go to? Nice restaurants, places to have fun (Not necessarily nightlife, but will also accept suggestions), all these kind of stuff. I'm talking about Latvia in general as well, What nice things can I do there? What other nice nearby cities can I visit (Or nearby countries)?

How do you adjust to life at home again after a long trip? I travelled for all of last year, visited 14 countries, the best year of my life by far. Now I'm home, back in the same town, unemployed, with absolutely no motivation for anything. Nothing has changed in terms of my situation. I gained a lot of experience but I'm not doing anything with it. People I met travelling who I expected would still be a part of my life now, aren't a part of my life. I don't even currently have an urge to go travelling again. I have no fucking idea what to do. How in the hell do you deal with this shit?

I want out of where I live. I need perspective, simply put, is it my environment, or is it me? What better way than getting far away from everyone you've ever known? I plan on taking a flight from Ohio to either Arizona or California. The problems I'm facing right now - >money. how much will i need? should I look for a part time job out there? I plan on staying at least a month or three. >booking flights I know fuck all about flying. What's going to be a good deal for me? >places to stay I'd imagine hotel hopping for a couple months is a pretty shitty thing to do financially. and many more that I can't think of right now. any help would be much appreciated. captcha >isagrim very

hello, I'm travelling to Korea in a Year, and I'm trying to bring my gigantic tower because I like to game a lot. Are you only allowed to bring 2 travel bags onto the plane, and is it possible to bring a computer overseas? I'm thinking that I might have to dissassemble it and maybe leave the case itself here in the USA.
