Planning to travel Poland/Germany/Prague/maybe Austria for 2 weeks or so. However, this is my first trip I have to organize to Europe and I am also going with family members. I have previously been to Amsterdam->Antwerp->Paris in a short trip years ago so I wanted to get a different taste (plus I am a bit of a Poleaboo) I have been planning a fairly quick tour along the lines of something like Berlin->Dresden->Prague->Krakow or Munich->Prague->Vienna->Krakow I want to make much of a trip as possible, but I do not want to make a taxing schedule to look at all the attractions. Going to some major attractions and relaxing in local restaurants or cafes would be nice. Still I have no idea what I am really saying or expecting so I was wondering if this route is doable or decent and what would be some things or places you'd recommend or shed light on?

Thailand sound like a nice place to live for cheap while doing freelance work. Ocean is there, nice weather is there, women are there, everything is there. What are some other countries like it where there's good climate all year around with ocean access and a way to live cheaply.

University in Finland

Hi guys, So I'm hoping to move to Finland to complete my studies and any information on the universities and programs offered in English would be much appreciated. I am currently studying a BA Humanities degree in South Africa. My subjects are Linguistics, Psychology, Philosophy and Applied English Studies. I am looking for a course that offers similar subjects as I am looking into either completing my third year in Finland or waiting until I do my Masters. In South Africa you need to study an honours program before a masters program, it is my understanding that Finland does not offer any honours programs . Does this mean that I could skip that year and go straight from my Ba to my Masters? It should also be noted that I do have a Finnish passport so moving there should not be too much of a problem for me.

Hey /trv/, So me and a friend are currently planning a road trip from Chicago to Denver then to the west coast then back. We were wondering if you guys had any ideas of places we could check out. Were both 19 and like to adventure in the outdoors like seeing national parks and hiking and such. I'd also like to attempt surfing and parasailing once we hit the west coast. Any kind of exhilirating activites would be nice. Were also open to amusement parks and any other kind of entertainment on this trip. Were looking to make it 3 weeks long. We were planning on skipping montana also. Oh if you have any skateparks to recommend that would help too. Thanks for the help guys!

Flying on 4.08 till 9.08 to Amsterdam and am looking for hotels for 2 persons and generally nice places to go. I tried to use the HRS/travigo apps, but couldn't find anything cheap. I made some screens couple months ago from a thread on /b/, some anon listed cheap hotels and told me about a chinese restaurant that sold thing like a full plate of duck and rice for 5 euro. Sadly my hard drive died and i lost all my info, can anyone help ? Thanks ! also, im staying in the Amsterdam/Utrecht area.

Hi, I'm from Ontario, but looking to move to a different province. Which province, in your opinion, would be the best for opportunities? I have experience in recreational staffing, lifeguarding, tutoring, and manual labour. Thoughts, fellow /trv/ellers?

German here. Hope some Irish can help me out. I make my own money since a year now and I am planning to make my first holiday in Ireland with a buddy. I've never been on vacatation before, so what are some essestial things I need to know? We don't want to visit dublin or any other big citys but rather visit the countryside and explore the beautiful landscapes in Ireland and get drunk in local pubs. What are some must-drinks? I already heard of Guiness but are there any others? Also, is it true that pubs are forced to close at 1. A.M? Thanks for the help and apology for poor english

Traveling musicians/busking thread

6 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
I will be traveling to Europe in July with a primary goal of meeting musicians/artists I can collaborate with, and make connections in cities in which I can potentially play shows in the future. I'm flying into Frankfurt and plan on going to Berlin from there for a few days, then onto Prague, maybe Poland and/or Austria after that. Can anyone here point me in the right direction for places to visit? Busking is a possibility. Right now I'm leaning towards experimental/improv music, but my tastes are eclectic and I'm generally open to anything that isn't shit G-D-C chord guitar pop. Has anyone had any enlightening busking/playing with foreign musician experiences? Help me out /trv/.

Back from a businessy trip to Dubai. Had a thread about it here before going, thanks to all who gave advice -- particularly to the guy who mentioned sunscreen, and the guy who reminded me it was going to but hot as some really hot thing there. Looks like the thread has died while I was gone, but did want to say thank you.

TRAVEL CARDS

I stupidly forget to get an extra card, and my flight is tomorrow. What are some good travel cards that you can get in asia being a UK resident? Am I able to use a friends sta travel card? It has her name on it, but I think you can just deposit money on to the card via a bank transfer. Finally, where is a good place to put the travel card, in case of a robbery or something? bottom of the bag? up the butt?
