Hi I'd like to bus it... 7 posts and 0 image replies omitted. Click to view.
Hi I'd like to bus it down from Los Angeles to possibly Panama as my last stop. I'd stop in a few countries for a few days then move on by bus. Which countries should I definitely see? Which should I skip. If I were to spend 3 days in each of those countries what kind of budget would I probably need including bus fare. Is Tica bus and the other big names my only options? I searched online and the price is ridiculously high, 130 dollars to cross two countries. I had a short trip last year and a bus trip from San Juan del Sur Nicarauga to San Jose, Costa Rica was only 8 dollars. I don't remember the name but it wasn't a chicken bus. Any advice or things I should know really appreciated but right now i'm mostly wondering out what my budget should be. also debating if I should fly back or bus since I'll be in a lot of buses

Yo /trv/, I need help I'm moving up to Seattle from LA in two weeks. I don't have the money to afford a hitch/trailer, but I have to transport a futon. What's the most cost-effective course of action? At this point, I'm seriously considering just buying a new futon when I get up there.

Hey /trv/, I'm going backpacking around central and northern Europe for a month and a half. This is my first time traveling with only a backpack, what are some essentials I should pack? Any advice for a first time backpacker? I've searched around and I'll list some basics I've picked up. I'd love to hear what some seasoned travelers have to say. -don't bring jeans, they're heavy and take a while to dry -in general, synthetics are preferable to wear as they're lighter, durable, and dry quickly. -carry a lightweight jacket or sweater -bring gallon sized plastic bags for storing food, dirty clothes, and anything that needs cleaning. I see a lot of sites that swear by money belts, but it seems to me that they're so popular that any thief worth his salt would check for them. I'm more inclined to just keep my spare cash under the soles in my shoes, or sewn in to a jacket. Some information about the trip: Traveling with one other person. We will be staying in hostels the entire trip, and don't intend to eat out at restaurants often, if at all. We will be taking the eurorail to move around the continent. I leave in a few days, so I don't really have time to ship anything.

/trv/ I have only been on one international flight before in my flight and it was to China from the US. I know that we have a policy where whatever airport you land in you have to get your bags and go through customs at that airport before you get on any other connecting flight you may have domestically. However I have a couple upcoming international flights with connections in a 3rd country. This being the case will I need to go get my checked luggage and then recheck it to my final destination? Here are the flights I have coming up if the countries themselves matter >IAD>ROM (connection in Moscow) >IAD>BKK (connection in Abu Dhabi) >BKK>CLT (connection in Shanghai) I am fairly green as a whole in response to international travel so I am getting paranoid to make sure I have everything covered. >dat clip art from the 90's

Sick and tired of feminism, reverse discrimination, misandry, whorish behavior, double standards, and useless western women in general. Where is good to travel/move where women are still women, men are still men? How hard is it to get laid in these places?

What places in Rome are interesting to visit besides the usual tourist locations? I will stay there for one week with friends; we are students, so cheap or for free would be best. I'd be interested in anything of historical or artistic significance, but everything else is fine, too. Also, any other important tips? Tourist traps? None of us speaks the language that well. Share your wisdom, /trv/!

Hey /trv/, So I'm moving out soon and I also plan on going for an intercontinental holiday the following year. What kind of travel bag should I have? What kind of questions do I have to ask myself to decide what kind of bag I want? What should I look (out) for when selecting a bag?

Hey /trv/ ! I have an opportunity to do an internship in DC, however no financial support is provided. I am an european and have never been in USA therefore would like to ask how much money I should plan for lets say duration of 4 months? How much I would need for rent / food and transportation? I would like to know (maybe there are people from DC) how much is needed for base minimum, considering I am non smoker and non drinker. Btw - maybe you know some good flat rental options? thanks

>posted on /adv/ originally (forgot about /trv/) Going to Seattle and Vancouver with the family this summer and I need some things for us to do. We're going to camp in the nearby nature parks most of the time, but we will be staying a night or two in Vancouver and Seattle. We've planned a few things in Vancouver but not so many in Seattle. So what are some cool things to do in Seattle and Vancouver? We have a fixed budget, but it's flexible (nothing too outrageous though...)

Hello /trv/, can you tell me how the French toll system works? I will drive from Karlsruhe to Saumur via Le Mans tomorrow, and later all the way back to Bâle in Switzerland. Someone told my i can only pay the toll with coins or credit cars? Is that true? What do I have to expect?
