Which retro game had the most entertaining glitches? My vote is for the broken as fuck LoZ Ocarina of Time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaHuw8l93hk

That late 70s-early 90s Sci-Fi/Space aesthetic thread

Those typically Ralph McQuarrie/MÅ“bius/Syd Mead/Roger Dean influenced hand painted covers and artworks that depicted space ships, space battles, robots, mechas, guy/gal-in-suit etc. that you just don't see anymore and give you that nostalgic feeling. Feel free to post music from said games as well when available.

ITT: Games that you love that are incredibly buggy to the point they're seemingly impossible to actually complete. I love Daggerfall. I have never completed Daggerfall due to being fucked over by game breaking bugs.

Old/Retro Adventure/Dungeoncrawler games

Hey /vr/ I'm a big fan of old school dungeoncrawler and adventure RPG types of games. Games like Gauntlent, Legend of Zelda, Secret of Mana, Dungeon and Dragons Chronicles of Mystaria ect. ect. Basically anything where you go around and beat monsters in a party, no matter the setting or the amount of RPG elements in the game.. I was wondering if you could advice me on some lesser known titles that have this kind of gameplay. Preferably multiplayer too. Recently there has been things like the gauntlet remake, forced and hammerwatch, but there's propably many older, relatively unknown games I would love to play too. So, what are your favorite, lesser known Adventuring, RPGing, Dungeoncrawling, Monsterslaying games? Preferably co-op.

A NetHack wish in real life

Imagine that you are outside and find a smooth stick. You, just playing around, pick it up and say "Zap!" Next thing you know, you have a handful of dust and there is a booming voice from the sky saying "You wrest one last charge from the worn out wand! The wand of wishing crumbles to dust! For what do you wish?" Assume the following: -It was not Friday the 13th when you got the wish, so your luck was at least zero. -You are a level 1 character. Your class is indeterminate, but Tourist seems most plausible unless you fit one of the other classes (e.g. Archaeologist or Healer). -You are (as far as you know) the only person to be getting a wish or finding Nethack items, and you don't expect to find any more.

Best Classicvania? Pic related gets my vote, followed by III, followed by Belmont's Revenge. Super IV with the honorable mention. Also general Castlevania thread I guess.

What's /vr/'s opinion of the Mother series? Also, general Mother thread, I guess. I started playing through Earthbound a few days ago, and I plan on playing Mother 3 soon.

Is there a name for games like Bubble Bobble, Snow Bros, Zupapa, Tumble Pop and the like? All I have for a name right now is Bobblevania. Share your favorite Bobblevania game /vr/ (besides the obvious Bubble Bobble). Pic related has been my favorite ever since I first saw it in the arcades.

Retro Boss Smackdowns

I posted something like this in a Doom/Quake thread the other day but it got deleted. I'll start with some retro FPS bosses. Nihilanth (Half-Life) >Can teleport you, one hit kill you, floats in air, can only be killed by destroying crystals then shooting its exposed brain Spider Mastermind (Doom) >Very fast hitscan chaingun, very durable Skaarj Queen (Unreal) >Teleports, has a shield, extremely fast and durable, launches energy projectiles at you Makron (Quake II) >BFG, railgun, chaingun, shotgun, hyper blaster, and powered exo suit. Very durable Kilmaatikahn (Powerslave) >Extremely durable, launches yellow stuff at you Cycloid Emperor (Duke3D) >Launches rockets all over the place, extremely durable with tons of goons backing him up Master Zilla (Shadow Warrior) >Huge cybernetic samurai suit, railgun, machine gun, heat seeking missiles >Tchernobog (Blood) Disintegrates you on touch, tons of fire/explosive attacks Who is the baddest of these bosses? Which bosses from other games would you want to fight each other?

What are stupid ways you got stuck in retro games, or really obvious things you didn't realize until it was too late? When I first played Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon on N64, I didn't realize that Impact had other attacks besides shooting coins/ryo. I spent hours on the first Impact boss until I finally beat him with just the coins. Imagine my frustration when I realized later that Impact had way more attacks.

What are your favourite lewd moments in otherwise non-lewd games? >hard-mode: No bikini-Samus >and no Zelda 2-slut As for me, it must be most of the sprites of Mai Shiranui. I know she's intentionally made to be a lewd character, but it was hard to avoid getting hard seeing her in motion.

PSX Change Question

Thinking about purchasing a PSX-Change disc off of Ebay...pic related. It's basically just a disc that you can use for your PS1/PsOne to play import games easily. My question is, could I just burn the PSX-Change rom onto a CD-R and it would have the same function of the original PSX-Change disc? I really don't feel like purchasing one I found on eBay for about $9. >pic related, it's the psx-change cover
