Which retro game had the most entertaining glitches? My vote is for the broken as fuck LoZ Ocarina of Time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaHuw8l93hk

Amazing prequel. Great story, perfect integration of the 3 player scenarios, smooth conclusion to open the events of the 1st tenchu, one of the best FMVs ive seen in psx... but awful gameplay! This game would be perfect if the game itself were good... the controls suck (even if many moves were added) which makes it kinda hard to relax and play cause one has to be always careful that the guy doesnt do something you dont want to or stopping to turn him cause he cant into diagonal running... anyone else feels like this? I prefer tenchu 1. Also, this would make a great movie or anime imo.

I remember playing this game like 20 years ago. it was on NES or maybe SNES. You played as some sort of warrior / knight, the game started in a place like in the picture. it was a side scroller/platformer (like castlevania). I don't remember too much about it, but I remember you started outside like in a rocky road with trees and in the background you could see a castle that you had to reach ( i think?) anyway you could go to the right or if you choose you could go down at the beginning and you will be advancing throught some sort of cave, it was a gray cave not dark or muddy, more like gray rock. I think you had to go down because there was a wall at the beginning and you couldn't advance that way. Help me /vr/ it's been killing me to know which game this was.

Urban Fantasy Games

Urban fantasy was a pretty big genre for video games in the 80's and 90's Post games with an urban setting and a fantasy (often magical-realist) theme. They're often influenced by from Yu Yu Hakusho and/or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's third and fourth arcs.

Final fantasy thread? I just started playing FF1 and I took a break for a while and now I don't remember where I was. is there any journal or something that I'm missing in this game?

I'll begin. >played it in late 90s/early 2000s >on pc >2d platformer >you control a mine cart >I THINK (not sure) it's similar to DK Country's Mine Cart level I know this is almost nothing, but it's all I've got. Post your unremembered games and I'll try to help if I can. thx

How does one go about building, modding or acquiring a component output nes?

They're out there, they exist. I just don't want to buy one off ebay at $400. New component cables coming out for the snes. How hard is it to find the last modeled nes with the snes composite input? Pic related.

What's vr's opinion on this game? I play the Game Boy version, and it's surprisingly good considering it's a Simpsons title.

That late 70s-early 90s Sci-Fi/Space aesthetic thread

Those typically Ralph McQuarrie/MÅ“bius/Syd Mead/Roger Dean influenced hand painted covers and artworks that depicted space ships, space battles, robots, mechas, guy/gal-in-suit etc. that you just don't see anymore and give you that nostalgic feeling. Feel free to post music from said games as well when available.

Old/Retro Adventure/Dungeoncrawler games

Hey /vr/ I'm a big fan of old school dungeoncrawler and adventure RPG types of games. Games like Gauntlent, Legend of Zelda, Secret of Mana, Dungeon and Dragons Chronicles of Mystaria ect. ect. Basically anything where you go around and beat monsters in a party, no matter the setting or the amount of RPG elements in the game.. I was wondering if you could advice me on some lesser known titles that have this kind of gameplay. Preferably multiplayer too. Recently there has been things like the gauntlet remake, forced and hammerwatch, but there's propably many older, relatively unknown games I would love to play too. So, what are your favorite, lesser known Adventuring, RPGing, Dungeoncrawling, Monsterslaying games? Preferably co-op.
