Let's have us a quality 2600 thread, I don't see it get much love around here. We all know most of the classics, what are those forgotten gems that are still fun? Pic related, Worm War 1 is the shit.

What's the best way to play real PS1 disks on a HDMI-only TV? PSOne + converter box? PS2? I never owned any of the playstation consoles and I want to order bunch of classic ps1 discs and check out what I missed

I like graphic adventures, but I suck at them. It's the only genre where I need to use a guide at some point, or I'm stuck there forever. Then I regret doing so and think to myself "How the hell couldn't I figure that out?" Even the old trick "try everything with everything" doesn't work with me; there's always something I miss. It's the worst feel I have with vidya to this day.

Anybody up for a Blaster Master discussion/help thread? Me and a buddy started blindly playing yesterday. I can consistently make it through area 3, but the boss gives me trouble. Any tips?

/vr/ ive recently gotten into ps2 emulation after practically playing every snes, dos, ps1, n64 and dreamcast game under the sun I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations, I just recently beat way of the samurai 1 and 2 as well as a few dynasty warriors, dokapon kingdom, steambot chronicles, and darkstone I am into any genre but would like something not very well known as i probably played every damn "greatest hits" game when i was in college would really love something with a lot of replayabiity like an awesome strategy game or a rogelike but any recommendation will do for me

Does anyone here know anything about this controller? It's for the Dreamcast. What games would benefit from using this?

What are some good movies about vidya? I know about The Wizard and pic related, and I'm wondering how many more there are.

My Sony PocketStation just came in the mail today from Japan. What are the list of American games that are compatible with it? BTW, it was sort of a bitch to set the internal clock.

I really like the look of this game and I want to play it, but it gets a tonne of criticism online What can you tell me about it, /vr/ ?

At some point in their short life, Active Enterprises (who, as some of you may know, brought us Action 52) planned to release a handheld console known only as the "Action GameMaster", which which was planned to tout: >a 3.2" color LCD screen >compatibility with NES, SNES, and Genesis cartridges >a CD-ROM adaptor >a car adaptor, TV tuner and wall charger Had Active actually followed through with their plans, would it have revolutionized the console market, or would it have bombed like a B-17?

Cartridges

So, I've got a question.... If you are not using a console, is it okay to leave a cartridge in? I've heard both things, good for keeping the dust away, bad for the system itself.

DOS games thread

Does anybody here use dosbox? Can you teach me the ways of remapping keys without fucking it up? I've tried getting into The elder scrolls, but couldn't configure shit out of it without fucking up dosbox itself. If there are good games that don't require much remapping too, please tell me. Also, great DOS games thread, I guess. Here is a great site and a great pic (I don't think it covers up the early pc gaming era, though.). http://www.myabandonware.com/

Well fellow /vr/ goers, its almost time once again. Flea Market season is almost upon us (at least for those in the upper states where its too cold for outdoor shit). What are you hopes and dreams for this year? Looking for anything in particular or just looking for good steals? Myself, i'm looking for more TG 16 stuff this year. Gonna be hard, but i'm sure i'l find something.

Are those Universal Game Cases any good? If not, got any recommendations for better ones? I need cases for NES, SNES, Genesis and N64. I never saved the boxes when I was a kid, and I'd like to start organizing/displaying my favorites w/ that "Cover Project" art. I'm already getting a bunch of DVD cases for PS1/PS2 and SCD/DC.

I have a Famicom video game system. If I use a 72 / 60 pin converter, could I play both NTSC and PAL region games? Sorry if my question is stupid or unclear.
