Is there any reason why most autistic children and even adults enjoy the Sonic the Hedgehog series? I'm not saying only autistic people play the games, I'm just wondering why so many autistic people play them. Is there any real concrete reason for this?

I know this is supposed to be intentionally bad, and not technically /vr/, but i really liked the mood of the first level, especially the part near the buildings. Looking for some /vr/ 3D games that have a similar mood to this. I know of these: Hunter Midwinter Castle Master Ken's Labyrinth

Super Mario Bros. 3

I've played Super Mario World many times over the years, but I don't think I've revisited Super Mario Bros. 3 since my pre-teen years. I just plowed through it, and wow. I still think SMW is my favorite, but man, what a lot of fun this has been. There are so many more "hey, what's that over there?" moments than I remember. I've always been a fan of Mario, but playing through the game again has reminded of what it was like to be a Mario freak as a kid. So much fun. I'm glad to see elements of the game return in more recent installments, but it was also nice to rediscover elements that were never seen again (mainly enemies that only appeared in this game). If only they still made Quackers I'd be practically time traveling. Love this game.

Every Gameboy/Colour RPG list is plagued with Pokemon. What are your favourite Gameboy/Colour RPGs not excluding Pokemon?

to cut a long story short, my phone is a disgrace and can only manage a GBC emulator that has >no sound >only single inputs so i need GBC games - preferrably RPGs - that can be played without sound and with simple button presses. i've been playing pokemon, which is as good an example as i can manage. i know there's a fair few RPGs for the GBC and i'm not hugely fussy about quality, just the above criteria. any recommendations? thanks in advance

What is this game?

ok, I have some faint memory of this game, I only remember bits of it, but it was pretty cool, and I'd like to play it if it's more than a concept I heard about. >Main standout characteristic it's a game with dragon warrior 3 game boy color type graphics, an rpg where if you die, you have to fight your way out of the spirit world and it looks like a giant spooky rocky graveyard there the place reminded me of the zelda 1 graveyard a little. Lots of grey in the color palate, dead trees. >other tldr assorted info: there was this one church surrounded by monsters, and you go in and a priest tells you of treasures in three chests you can take, what he doesn't tell you is that if you go into the back room and open the chest there a dragon will be summoned and it will chase you out of the church door, even though it's huge, like a 6x2 square. All the monsters are on screen overworld, and when they see you combat starts, take too long to make your move, and you lose it.

She is introduced as a child in the beginning of the story as a carefree villager in a small town which has no plot significance to the remainder of the story. The very first thing which happens is that her hometown is immediately destroyed and she is ejected from it by the catastrophe in order to embark on an adventure which will ultimately end in her saving the world from an apocalyptic end. Along the way, she comes across other adventurers, some of whom are experienced veterans who help guide her, but catastrophic events tear them from her company and she is forced to make do without their guidance. After receiving recognition and assistance from supreme ethereal beings, they bestow their powers upon her so that she may continue her quest. Empowered and refocused, she wields her new heroic abilities to rescue the people who once saved her when she was a novice. She has fully undergone the journey from a youth to an adult, having grown not only in power but also in character. Time and again she, who once needed comfort and reassurance herself, now guides other adventurers, bringing them the focus and clarity of purpose necessary to come together and achieve their goal of protecting her world from destruction. Was Rydia actually supposed to be the protagonist of Final Fantasy IV?

weird urban legend

Hey guys, recently I've seen a curious urban legend about the classic SNES game super soccer. Apparently when you achieve an extremely difficult objective(s), the game will show during a match an extremely disturbing and gore scene where a gangster shoot all the players on the field. Since the original poster of this rumor is quite trustable I would like to know if anyone of you ever encountered such an event and if yes could he give us additional information about this. here's the blog post where it all started : http://www.gameblog.fr/blogs/bonsplansjeuxvideosvgdealer/p_104728_phenomene-paranormal-ou-bug-maj-19-05-2014 If you don't understand French, i'll gladly give other details about this.
