anyone played this game lately? I finished it, but I find the big map difficult to find, unlock everything in that game.

This is the bandwagon mentality that is assassinating FFVII's reputation and getting hipster kids to praise FFVI. I mean, I can understand if someone likes VI, but do people always have to inevitably compare the two? Do you think FFVI's popularity is warranted, or is it just a movement made as a backlash against FFVII's popularity?

Just finished this masterpiece for the first time after someone here recommended it. Are there any other games in this genre i've missed out on? Just plain open puzzle solving exploration adventure? No collectathons or sidescrollers. just good old fashioned adventure

So what do I do with all my old retro junk. Controllers, sports games, etc. I used to collect retro games but I had a big sell off at some point in time and now I'm just got ton's of stuff. What do you do with retro junk that isn't even likely to sell anymore? I've got all kinds of mishmashed crap that I don't want to keep yet I don't want to throw away. Some of it's unique and cool and valuable, some of it's just junk. I have good condition N64 controllers and the extension cords for the controllers. At least I have an N64. With it I have games like Rugrats, then I have Majora's Mask. I have 4 Genesis controllers and a copy of Sonic CD, yet I sold my Sega CD and Genesis. I have old games nobody would want. Sports games, some good ones mixed in, many games that I'll never play and nobody would ever care about. So what do you do with all this old stuff? What's been your solution to an accumulation of extra junk you acquire when getting the games you want? Do I trash it? Sell it as a bundle? Keep it forever?

Things that retro games did better than modern games? All I can honestly think of are difficulty and music. Better pacing between releases too for the most part. Tell me /vr/ what am I missing? I understand having a snes but that's all some people play.

So I decided to play Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Apparently this is the best one they made. I remember owning the first one, when I was a kid. It seems quite similar. However I am only on the 3rd quest and I am having trouble. (Griffin Cliffs). Basically need some pointers to help me lose some of the rust. Or just some good ole heroes chat would be nice too.

What are your opinions on exploits to make games easier? For instance, using the alarms on the Launch Base level to summon huge numbers of Flyboys to rack up points/lives?

>mfw in super metroid, crocomire is harmless and it's optional to even kill him. >mfw you're forced to kill him and you see that he's confused to why you attacks him. >mfw it is you or him and he tries to defend himself. >mfw you see how he dies...and screams... >mfw you know that he in fact was the victim the whole time.

Are there any other retro games that become way harder or flat out punishes you for playing them with a friend?

So I need 3D models for the NES/SNES (and jr. models if they exist).....does anybody have a 3D scan file in .cad? And is it illegal for me to reproduce these in real life? I really want to make some translucent shells for the 20-30 working motherboard/PSU combos I have in stock. Most of these were taken from either broken or extremely yellowed/stained consoles. I figured going with a translucent shell would be pretty hip since people seem to love the N64 line. pic unrelated

One controller port?? Are you fucking kidding me. Even the 2600 had two. I had considered adding this to the collection, but the game are dull and get boring quickly.

So /vr/ I am trying to remember an old game I played a bit of on the snes. Though I don't remember a lot of it. It was a 2d platformer game and I remember when I was going in the menu some of the options would just fucking send me on another map against some boss that would kill me in a matter of seconds. I think there was more than 1 of these option and they sent to different bosses.

>you never had to reload in Silent Hill despite the guns having an ammo counter This bothered the fuck out of me. What spooky games are you playing for Halloween?

Did this had any function other than saving games? I never owned a dreamcast but the memory card looks awesome. Did any game ever made use of the screen? Was there ever a game made specifically for it?
