need help with UVs in maya Anonymous 11/04/14(Tue)04:51 UTC+1 No.448764 Report

Need help ASAP dont understand why this would be acting this way. Those are two different UV sets, same object but UVs are separated. only the ones pictured are selected but everything near it is moving too. This was not happening before but it is now and its not just one object its everything.

Program is obviously maya

I think it's because Soft Select doesn't actually work in the UV Texture Edtior. I think there's some weird overlap between the Viewport Select Tool and the UTE Select Tool when you have Soft Select already enabled in the Viewport before you go over to the UTE.

Has happened to me a few times.

I took a screenshot of my gf's screensharing.

That was the problem. I didn't suggest it until I thought about it. None of the other UVs were colored differently.

My gf has a lot of other silly opinions and preferences. I apologize for her.

Double check that you're in UV component mode. Reset translate tool settings. Reselect the UVs manually.

I dunno man, maybe you have soft select on? Try hitting B and reselecting the UVs
