What can help with insomnia?

>be me
>always have problems sleeping
>especially bad these last two weeks
>be tonight
>take two OTC sleeping aids at 11:30
>keep taking them until im tired
>be almost 4am
>taken 17 sleep aids
>half a bottle of nyquil
>quater bottle of zzzquil
>still wide awake

What can i do guys?

I have exactly the same problem, OP. When I was 14 I used to pull allnighters almost every week and it never showed during the day. On the long term, it did show so I did it only once a month. Now I'm 18 and I still have a fucked-up sleeping schedule. I went to Japan for 3 months (I got home 2 weeks ago) to gain more self confidence and get away from home for a while, with as ulterior motive to train myself into a discipline-filled sleep pattern. I tried about all the shit they had there, including those extremely heavy sleeping meds that businessmen use.
None of it worked,OP. I suggest seeing a doctor if you haven't already, or just trying to live with it. I've done the latter, since my dad has the same awful sleeping pattern, so we just stay up late and watch talkshows together. Made me thinking it might be genetic.
Sorry for the wall and probably not much help but at least you're not alone.

Remember that even if you don't sleep tonight, tomorrow night you'll be so tired you'll basically pass out. So you'll get your sleep.

Even just thinking that helped relieve a lot of the stress that was stopping me sleeping.

Depends what's causing your insomnia though.

I sleep okay and I don't know much about this stuff, but I've heard of a thing called melatonin and wondered if that helps you sleep, so I'm just throwing that out there if anyone knows about it. Maybe it would help well.

Don't know what causes it for me, but i finally pased out around 5am
Yeah thats what i take 10mg of melatonin per pill, normally enough to have someone out for 10 hours

-stop with the sleep aids (they fuck up your normal sleep rhythm)
-get a bedtime routine
-get up and go to bed at the same time, no matter how tired you are.

If you do these things you should be sleeping better in about a week. There is no effective way to regulate your sleep pattern quicker.

I used to have a huge problem with insomnia.

Are you on the computer before bed? I didn't realize this for a long time, but the glow from the computer monitor leaves you awake. I sleep much better if I read a book or go for a walk during the hour before bed. Also consider smoking a little pot if you aren't opposed to that sort of thing, it can help make you drowsy.

Clonidine is good for mild sleep aid, is non-addictive, and helps to treat any anxiety issues you might be having too. No daytime drowsiness either.

Already do this, already in bed everynight at 1130 and awake every morning around 1230, i just dont fall asleep until about 4 or 5am

And i dont have anymore sleep aids so i dont really have a choice

I have had issues with insomnia and last night I was having a problem falling asleep as well till I did what I found works for me..
So Please understand I'm not being a pervert or trolling.. I'm being 100% truthful
Masturbate or have sex. I have found that on days I'm unable to sleep or i'm not sleeping well and I keep waking up or just not able to go to sleep That if you masturbate or have sex with your boyfriend or girlfriend after the event you will become tired so much so that if you close your eyes and don't think about anything like cleaning up or showering or what have you with in moments your gonna be out like a light..
