Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches Anonymous 06/29/14(Sun)21:04 UTC+1 No.1665540 Report

Not sure if this is the right place but if anyone here from the UK wants from free Madagascan hissing cockroaches, then email me.
I had a male and female who I thought were about to die, but they must have mated before the male died because the female gave birth to a bunch. I want to keep her, but I obviously don't want all the babies. The babies are about 3 weeks old now.
Pic not mine but similar to how they are looking.

what's the point?
Are they pets? Are they reptile feed? Do you put them in moms coffee?

I'm sure this is bait, but insects etc are interesting to some, and they don't require the amount of attention and care as a dog or something.

No I was being serious.
I know people keep insects as pets' which imo is a bit weird. I didnt think cockroaches was one of the 'pets'.

With insects, you can get really creative. Like building a castle for a hiding place.

Or selective breeding - I managed to get 2 gigantic meal worm beetles after 2 years, I wonder how big can they get.

I sympathise with roaches, for the most part. I don't live in an area with endemic cockroaches, but when I did I just left them alone. Periplaneta australasiae, and they weren't really a nuisance, so I saw no need to get rid of them. Some species are nasty though, the ones that thrive indoors.
