>kung fu chi strikes dont work
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)13:09 UTC+1 No.440792 Report

That's not a chi strike, that's a soccer punch.
CMAguy 06/26/14(Thu)13:29 UTC+1 No.440798 Report

Ever had your arm or leg corked?
This is what "chi strikes" are.
They're attacking at vital points and the ones that cork your arm or leg are exactly that. They're acupoints that respond that way when hit.
Ontop of the trapezium muscle striking down can seriously injure a person if penetrative enough, a hit which would cork a leg in the right fashion can do serious injury and in some cases cause things like vomiting.
Under your arm lies many points which can either blow the wind out of your lungs or even stop the heart.
"Chi points" are very often overly exaggerated, where they should be well known by now that they're just weak areas hit correctly.
(the temples an acupoint and a common "dim mak" strike, as with under the jaw in the neck etc)

What strike was in the gif? ;)
CMAguy 06/26/14(Thu)13:54 UTC+1 No.440806 Report

We have an old name for it in my system;
Old Man Falls Over and Fakes Injury

very ancient move
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)13:58 UTC+1 No.440809 Report

As to the vast majority of "chi strikes", they're basically nerve pinches, and are a very risky tactic in real life situations since there are vast differences in their effectiveness in people. Some people simply don't react to them, or have differences in anatomy so that the nerves aren't exposed in the same way.
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)14:05 UTC+1 No.440811 Report

CMAguy, as a member of our "society" you are not allowed to talk about this technique. We watch, we notice, we judge.

You have been warned.

>Ever had your arm or leg corked?
Er... corks are just muscle bruising, guy. There's no special point that needs to be hit to cause a cork, it's just muscle getting bruised by a blow. Anyone who doesn't live a medieval fantasy land knows this.

Also, there is no possible way for a blow to the arm pit to cause cardiac arrest, the level of ignorance it must take something like that seriously is astounding to consider.
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)14:18 UTC+1 No.440819 Report

>not the greatest TMA ever
Do you even zidane? One shot kill dude.
CMAguy 06/26/14(Thu)14:19 UTC+1 No.440822 Report

No, maybe we know different terms for a corking.
Im in australia and a specific point on the leg WILL make you drop.

>under the arm
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)14:26 UTC+1 No.440826 Report

>dickhead under the arm
CMAguy 06/26/14(Thu)14:28 UTC+1 No.440827 Report

SP17 is the specific point im referring to btw
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)14:36 UTC+1 No.440831 Report

There is no different term for corking. Corking happens when the muscle takes a blow and is crushed against bone, causing it rupture and bleed (i.e. a bruise). That is literally all it is, there is no special place that needs to be hit to cause a bruise and your ooga booga pseudo-religion has no one weird secret to causing better bruises.

>under the arm
For us english speakers, under the arm refers to the armpit, not your torso or flank. Either way, there is no place you can hit someone in the ribs that will cause a cardiac arrest. More so, if there were such a magical point, it would be through the sternum, since a blow to someone's flank would have to pass through their lungs to have any affect on their heart.
However as I said, you would have to be absurdly ignorant to seriously believe this sort of rubbish. Even doing a basic cpr course would give more than enough information to realise that the concept of punching someone anywhere in the chest and causing a cardiac is totally ridiculous.

>Im in australia
Get outta me country, chink and take your magical shadow boxing with you.
CMAguy 06/26/14(Thu)14:38 UTC+1 No.440832 Report

I showed you the point. And all through my childhood etc corking was a term for having a "dead arm" or "dead leg"
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)14:40 UTC+1 No.440833 Report

Rupture and bruising is what causes the dead leg you retard, jesus christ.
CMAguy 06/26/14(Thu)14:50 UTC+1 No.440834 Report

Im referring to a specific point I'll try find a chart later and tell you which one causes vomitting etc and a dead leg
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)15:09 UTC+1 No.440838 Report

There is NO SPECIFIC POINT for causing a dead leg, hitting someone anywhere on the quad with enough force will cause the muscle fibers and blood vessels to rupture and tear, which reduces contraction strength and mobility giving you the 'dead' effect. There is nothing special about it at all.
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)16:31 UTC+1 No.440857 Report

I'm not defending Chi, but really? You don't know those kids that have always hit you on a certain lateral point of your stomach or leg to make you feel a weird kind of pain?
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)16:38 UTC+1 No.440858 Report

Really? If you have to look it up, it's hardly useful, is it?
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)17:39 UTC+1 No.440889 Report

I remember we used to dead arm and leg each other on the bus and there was no special technique to it, just punch them really hard when they weren't expecting it.

Not that Australian anon.
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)18:01 UTC+1 No.440896 Report

>this guy doesn't believe in pressure points
>hitting someone in the solar plexus is the same as hitting their shoulder.
Chi might be bullshit, but if you honestly don't believe in pressure points you're a god damn idiot.
Anonymous 06/26/14(Thu)18:05 UTC+1 No.440898 Report

I didn't say that, I'm just saying that I don't remember school yard dead arming someone having any technique. You punched him.

no anon you are the retard

if you rotate a pipe correctly it will block itself
Anonymous 06/27/14(Fri)05:00 UTC+1 No.441362 Report

That is not fucking Kung-fu chi strike. Have you ever watched a fucking Soccer game before? The players will fall down to the ground like literally over any thing. That guy could have bee lightly tapped and he would have fell over like someone shot him. Its just an act to get the other team a red card.
CMAguy 06/27/14(Fri)08:30 UTC+1 No.441505 Report

I just said "maybe we have different terms for it" I dont travel abroad and dont have many friends in the states. Lots in canada though
This is what Im referring to. Theres just a small spot on the leg (acupoint) thats really easy to knee and if you do it right your leg just falls in on itself and you cant walk.
Kids do it all the time>
If you miss, you know, because the guys hitting you.
Anonymous 06/27/14(Fri)08:48 UTC+1 No.441514 Report

It's not chi magic you fucking autist. We did dead arms, dead legs and lumpies all the fucking time in high school.
>hit relevant limb
>muscle spasm
>dead x
Anonymous 06/27/14(Fri)09:43 UTC+1 No.441524 Report

I don't know about all this chi bollocks, but pressure points are definitely a thing. You can most certainly hit a specific spot on a limb to 'cause it to go dead with more ease than other parts of that limb.
Yeah, just hitting them can work too, but there are nerve clusters and all sorts that can be targeted.
CMAguy 06/27/14(Fri)09:50 UTC+1 No.441526 Report

Oh my read the thread, please read the thread.
Ive been stating this whole time it isnt fucking chi magic.

Anonymous 06/27/14(Fri)12:05 UTC+1 No.441548 Report

its funny, if a hundred people call you X. you couldnt possibly be X no! all 100 of them are delusional and youre a special snowflake privy to ancient knowledge that only you could possibly understand

perhaps its time to seriously look in the mirror and ask, am i really X?
Anonymous 06/27/14(Fri)16:33 UTC+1 No.441622 Report

But what if additionally a million people call you Y, does it make them right instead of the first hundred? And why would it not be the hundred being right instead? Can the majority not be wrong in some instances? Take your mirror and ask yourself, why would you only be X?
