Who else went to LFCC AKA QueueCon 2014?

>Building was too small, indoors was basically gridlock, had to walk all the way around the edge to move and even then it was crowded
>Ridiculous queueing
>Main feature of the day was the 10 hour long queue to actually get in the con which went around the entire outside of the venue
>Also featuring hour long queues to pee and queues for the only cash machine on the premise
>Con got so packed that people started expecting someone to die so stopped letting people in after around 1pm but didn't tell the queuers
>Small crush outside as people already with stamps trying to get back in and being turned down
>tfw I was stuck pressed up against the glass for 30 minutes
>Ironically everyone hung about outside because inside was basically a gas chamber
>no seats, like at all

anyone got any stories?

Queues were horrendous and...
Queues were horrendous and I'm amazed many people even stayed after seeing them?
The womens toilets were by far the worse and I ended up not peeing for over 20 hours from a mix of not being able to get to toilets in the con and having to literally sprint to coaches.
by far the funniest part had to be my bizarre sunburn I got on the day thanks to my cosplay (picture above)

It was horrible.

Queued for 4 hours and didn't even get within sight of the main entrance. Was feeling pretty stupid for not buying my ticket online, but heard that even people WITH pre-bought tickets had to queue for at least an hour to get in as well, and once in couldn't move for the crush of people inside.

Reckon that Stan Lee is to blame for the sudden surge in interest in LFCC, as in previous years it's been a tiny con with barely any queue at all.

>muh SDCC
>Pseudo-geeks who don't know any better go to UK "cons" wanting the SDCC experience.

Go to smaller local cons for your cosplay and social fix, for everything else just use the internet.

I got there at 8:30 am and was still out there queueing at 1pm. I have never ever burnt in the sun in my life due to being naturally olive skinned but I BURNT WHILST I WAS IN THE QUEUE. I brought three bottles of water and guzzled them all in the queue as well as offering them to others who hadn't got any drinks. They were letting people re-enter whilst people who hadn't even got their tickets were frying in the sun outside, which was completely unfair. LET PEOPLE IN WHO HAVEN'T BEEN IN YET BEFORE ALLOWING RE-ENTRY! When I eventually got in I fought my way through the insane crowd and went straight to get a VT for the only guest I was there to see, Bernard Cribbins. The attendant told me they were only on number 100 (my ticket was 418) so I should come back at about 4. I did just that only to be told that he was going home and no matter how much I begged and pleaded the answer was no. And the board said tickets 1-450 which couldn't have given me a big time-window anyway. I wouldn't have been as disappointed if the autograph was for me, but it wasn't, it was to be a birthday present for my baby sister. I went home in tears because I had let her down. Since I got home I have been constantly drinking water and sleeping due to heat stroke, dehydration and exhaustion.
This was such complete and utter bullshit. I went for a day out to enjoy myself and got disappointment, anxiety, heat stroke and sunburn.

I have a couple of shitty things from it.

We were set up in the shitiest place for us, our space mostly consisting of a photobooth. We talked to the people on the table next to us, who were in our space and they had been moved their because the row they were supposed to be set up in was full.
Being moved meant we needed to wait for them to get us power instead of it being ready when we arrived.

Thank fuck I had a wristband though, that queue was monsterous. People had been queueing since 5:30 on sunday and at least 6:00 on saturday just to get in and those were the prebooked tickets. The queue was hours long and people had to queue even for re-entry.

>opened the doors early on saturday
>some tables were not even set up yet
Lfcc, why.

>stan lee left early both days
>grown men crying in the queue after being told
>this was their last chance to see him before he finally turns to dust

Is it usually that bad?

A wall of heat, sweat and BO hit me as soon as I got in, and then I couldn't get back out again.

Naw, it's never been like this any time I have been before. I think a mixture of better advertising and being Stan Lee's last Euro appearance just brought way more people than they could handle even with two halls.

Oh thank fuck I overslept on Saturday and ended up deciding not to go.

The huge London cons should start going to advance tickets only but we all know they like the money more than providing a decent experience for their attendees.

This was a massive clusterfuck. Thankfully it was quite usual for a LFCC. I'm hoping it will return to normal at the next one.

LFCC is one of my favorite events and always attend. This year was way too crowded. I definitely think its to do with Stan so hopefully it won't be repeated.

Any good cosplays you liked?
