Also, could this be considered defamation against the restaurant?
I mean, its a fucking restaurant. Their soul purpose is to provide food for paying customers. Last I checked there isn't anything that states you can only serve tofu and hummus.

Christ, I had dinner with a vegan last night. It was awful, she said with a straight face that "Exploitation of animals is directly connected to the exploitation of women and people of color."

Then she ranted for half an hour about the stone age matriarchal vegan societies which the patriarchy had raped into nonexistence.

The worst part was, I was eating tofu because I didn't want to offend her. I should have ordered the fucking chicken.

honestly I think it depends on why she's vegan. If it's for health reasons (like me) it MAY be okay. However, I know vegans who are also batshit crazy about animal rights and get very worked up. This is why I don't have many vegan friends; the need to smear their shit everywhere can be overwhelming. Just find out why she's vegan. Also if she talks to other people about being vegan a lot in non-food settings, that's a red flag. Just my $0.02

I love vegans who have obviously never spent any real time with a chicken brood.

There's a reason they clip the beaks, and that's because chickens are fucking vicious land-piranhas that go into a feeding frenzy at the sight of blood.

A brood will peck each other to death the moment one of them becomes injured, and the chickens will FUCKING EAT THE DEAD BIRD.

They're still dinosaurs. Don't let the feathers fool you.

Taking the bait
>>5881530
>disgusting
Depends on how they're kept. Obviously, shitty places exist. Those are the ones PETA et al cherrypick for their propaganda videos.

>violent
No. Being violent to an animal increases its stress level, and the adrenaline its body releases into the blood stream actually makes the meat taste worse. This is why animals are usually slaughtered with very quick methods, like bolt guns. The animal usually doesn't even know what's happening, but depending on the intelligence of the animal, it may still guess something strange is about to happen to them; pigs will be greatly distressed in situations where a sheep is absolutely clueless.
The methods of slaughter are also clean, to avoid contamination of the meat through brain matter and obviously guts.

>inefficient
it is true that raising an animal requires a lot of resources, but the meat is usually not the only thing we get from the animal. For health reasons, using human waste as fertiliser is outlawed in many places, thus animal waste comes in quite handy.
Leather, chymosin, feathers, milk, eggs, wool and even a lot of make-up are also important products produced by animals.

>unsustainable
Price regulates demands like nothing else, so the best way to regulate demand for meat is not to be angry on tumblr but to pass laws for good treatment of animals and for restrictions on cheap import meat. A meat diet of meat twice a week is absolutely sustainable.

Neither is no meat at all or no animal products at all.

There needs to be a compromise, but sadly, in these kinds of topics, extremists usually have the loudest voices.

Either way, market regulation as opposed to walking around in public pissing people off while they have lunch is probably the way to go here.

Ignoring this retard logic that eating a smaller variety of foods actually means eating a larger variety of foods and that all meat is the same:

Most people I know can not afford or do not care enough to base their meals around meat, however they do have meat as a component to their meal. The bulk of the meal still consists of plant matter. BBQ being an obvious exception, but that's not a daily thing.

Of course not, because you are ignorant. Have you ever hunted or slaughtered an animal?

Saying, "I don't care about _____" and having zero experience or knowledge in that subject pretty much negates the significance of your belief. Little kids don't care about most things that seemingly do not directly impact their lives, it's part of being immature.

Stress immediately before death results in the worst meat, hence why halaal and kosher meat usually is chewy and bland as fuck.

Most other meats are fed a diet that results in fatty tissue, and fat is fucking flavor. Then they're killed instantly, or lobotomized before being bled out. The best meat is grass-fed then grain finished and humanely killed; for the maximum effect of flavor, richness, and tenderness.
