Tonic water can help to suppress an enzyme which breaks down opiates, effectively helping them stay in your system longer. Not good for you, but I knew a lot of kids in high school who went to great lengths to get the most out of mom's vicodin.

I had a persistent eye twitch for 2 months, I googled it and it was suggested that I drink tonic water to stop it. I drank 3 liters a day for 3 days (mostly diet kind). I don't know if it was the tonic water, but the twitching stopped shortly after.

You're a retard. Opiates and quinine have nothing to do with each other. Where you get your information, wikipedia?

how? it contains quninine, which potentiates opiates. is admitting to occasional opiate usage seriously grounds to be called edgy?

c'mon now

You're drinking shit-tier "tonic water", probably schwepps or canada dry brand out of a plastic bottle. That is not real tonic water.

not op but drinking alcohol is about as cool as sniffing glue.

You might like it now, but imagine living with a spouse that drinks all the time. It would be hell on earth I bet.

Having a drinking partner is infinitely better than drinking alone, Anon. A marriage based upon a mutual dependence on alcohol and an ability to stand the each other when intoxicated can stand the test of time. It worked for my grandparents, they married in the late' 40s and were married to the day my grandmother died of all the liquor and cigarettes.

teetotaling has nothing to do with it.
tonic water was developed to treat malaria, and it was so disgusting that it was simply impossible to drink without gin, which turned out to be delicious.

if you have neither malaria nor gin then you've got literally no reason to drink tonic water.
