Classic House Styled RV Anonymous 07/03/14(Thu)05:21 UTC+1 No.661841 Report

You could take this (see picture) and built a small road-proof home on it. Could be great for road trips or single budget living.

Go buy one, they're cheap to buy! http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/browse/cataucs?catid=402

Just don't try this if your on a boarder state with Mexico. All their public transit buses are old school buses from the states picked up at auction. Police cars too. There can be an order of magnitude difference between the price of surplus vehicles in places like Arizona vs some place like South Dakota.

>not using a whole bus

Now it can be built out and up a little bit, and proper insulation can be put in, along with better windows.
Anonymous 07/03/14(Thu)09:42 UTC+1 No.661909 Report

Probably a lot more expensive your way though. Unless you have money to burn, I'd probably just use the bus as-is as well.

I have no place to park such a thing, how am I going to work on it?
Anonymous 07/03/14(Thu)11:39 UTC+1 No.661939 Report

There is tonnes of pic related on google image search.

On an unrelated note why the hell is merica still using front engine buses with a "hood"? I don't think we have had those here since the 1950s.
Anonymous 07/03/14(Thu)11:42 UTC+1 No.661940 Report

In the open.

Have you got a license to drive one?
Anonymous 07/03/14(Thu)11:45 UTC+1 No.661941 Report

I haven't and I don't live in America either.

Can't just plant a bus anywhere you want so you can work on it.
You can't make your surroundings into a workplace when you live in a small country where every square meter is owned by someone.
Anonymous 07/03/14(Thu)11:52 UTC+1 No.661942 Report

I'd have room for one here but it wouldn't cost 10 times the buy price at least just to get it here.

Turn it into an underground storage space or hangout. Maybe even a chill spot if you have a few dogs

I hope those walls are reinforced with some steel tubing or something.

look up the stats for school busses.. they have to be designed to go through a rollover without crushing so the walls and roof are already surprisingly reinforced...
