Just google symptoms - it's that + those symptoms being so problematic it affects your ability to hold a job or make friends, so you are prescribed medicine to adjust it so you can "contribute to society"

Or you can just do some research + some lying to get what you want

You can have symptoms but work through it and be worse off than someone that is diagnosed

It's understanble to be nervous before and during an interview - it's a high-pressure situation

Any worthwhile employer will be forgiving of this, especially if they have an HR person that pertains to hiring individuals

You don't need xanax

yes xannax and klonopin help and they get you high as gas but theyr also turbo addicting and withdrawal can literally kill you so dont bother its not worth it. esp bc over time they end up causing more anxiety than youd naturally have anyway
the non-habit forming anxiety meds like buspirone/buspar dont do shit.

if you absolutely need somthing to deal - smoke weed. itll be legal soon anyway and helps with anxiety if you build up a lil tolerance

I went to a doctor for some anxiety-related symptoms (my mom has anxiety, and she talks to me about how she feels when the anxiety kicks in) and he prescribed me some beta-blockers. I wasn't too keen on taking them, so I went to another doctor and he suggested that I go to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I ended up going to a psychologist and it really helped a lot when I saw her often. But once our sessions ended because I showed much improvement, my gains started to plateau.

I don't know if I'm taking anymore risks or if I forgot some of the tools that she recommended, but it fucking sucks.

Xanax, Klonopin, and other heavy benzos are for people that can't even function without them. Like can't leave their house, can't drive a car, can't have a job, etc without having a panic attack. I have no idea why people who abuse these do it because if you don't have a crippling phobia or panic disorder they won't hardly even do anything.

Most general anxiety issues, social anxiety, etc can be solved with therapy and/or an ssri or other methods of relaxation, CBT, etc. Or just dealing with it tbh. If you can leave your house without having a panic attack you don't need Xanax.

My level 4 was being quiet in a car with my boss.

My level 7 was eating out with friends/coworkers, at a corner/edge seat.

My level 9 was eating out with friends/coworkers, while at a seat that isn't a corner.

My level 10 was taking shots of alcohol.

My anxiety attacks were the worst when I was either trapped, eating with friends.coworkers, or both.

Also police officers don't need degrees, just need to pass pt reqs and pa. Why do you think you see so many ex soldiers walking around in police uniforms?

Crim justice degrees are for social workers ( like your case worker) or aspiring defense attorneys since so many courses are pre reqs for first year law students.

And that wasn't even my degree path. Clearly you have never attended higher education

try an ssri and therapy first? sounds like pretty bad social anxiety but xanax is still a pretty heavy medication for something like that. you need to be honest with yourself and the therapist about why you are scared of situations like that. something about yourself like your image or a perceived flaw or something about other people makes you avoid it so you have to figure it out and then take the necessary steps to fix it / realize it doesn't matter. you'd probably be surprised by how many people are thinking the same thing about themselves.

Medicines that treat illness can also become drugs of abuse when people take them to get high—not because they're sick and following their doctor's orders. People can even abuse cough or cold medicines from the store if they ignore the directions and take too much at one time.

If I go to my doctor and tell him I experience mild/moderate anxiety (which I do) what are the odds of him prescribing me meds vs. telling me to see a therapist/do counseling? I'm sure the latter would be helpful too, but I honestly would rather just take a pill and feel better. I know my mom takes an SSRI for anxiety and she says it helps her a lot and she didn't have to do any counseling. Or does he give you a choice or what?

they give out drugs pretty easy. not the fun ones like xanax, but the SSRIs and SNRIs. dont get your hopes up too high though, I've tried a lot of them and just taking a pill never fixed it for me, but it does for some people, so i hear.

most get a kick back for prescribing certain drugs in certain quantities in America.

you don't have to "trick" anybody to get the little sheet that says I R DUMB ENOUGH TO PILLZ HERE MONEY

also you don't think doctors know when you're lying in order to get high?

but, speaking from personal experience in the hell that is extreme anxiety I would first suggest finding a good reviewed cognitive behavioral therapist in your area and possibly starting an ssri which you can discuss with them. only if you don't improve and only as a last resort should you use benzos, especially the heavier ones. best of luck.

150 works okay for me. I think the tolerance/effectiveness might be genetic. My dad takes it for some of the symptoms of his PTSD and it works for him. Maybe it works for me for the same reasons. I didn't try it right away, but the other SNRI/SSRIs that I've tried made symptoms worse and made me shaky all the time. With venlafaxine I just kind of feel okay enough to do stuff even if not completely happy. The side effects (dry mouth, insomnia, dizziness) are standard but I still hate them. Luckily my mood stabilizer (seroquel) helps with not being able to sleep but it is really sedating and makes me sleep for about 12-14 hours a night still feeling unrested

OP, people who suffer from anxiety disorders are likely just more sensitive than others. In other words, you're just you and others have decided to hand you the word "anxiety" on a silver platter. But you don't have to have accept what they offer you. I'm not trying to be a dick either; I know your suffering is real. A lot of people who are plagued with sensitivity just self-medicate with alcohol. Pic related.

Anyway, 4chan may not "help" much, but we'll make you feel proud to be insane. Which is the next best thing.

Sufferer of Avoidant Personality Disorder here.

It fucking sucks. You have the burning desire to be social and get out there but you're a victim to the walls you put up, sometimes deliberately or unknowingly. Think of Social Anxiety as a mountain, A.P.D is the apex basically.

OP get on xannax and/or klonopin and take those pills every day until you need them to function. then continue on taking as needed until you wake up one day in jail wondering what you did and how you got there

have you ever wondered why people in second/thrid world countries dont suffer from sooo many "mental" and/or personality disorders? not to mention fkn allergies?
o yea bc america is overmedicated and evryone wants to take a pill to solve their problems....

while im all about taking pills....believe dat homie....but also i KNOW FOR A FUCKING FACT the only way youll ever control anxiety is if in fact you learn to control it......i know it seems like its not in your control but it is........I know a lot of drug addicts - take my word - and a lot of them got addicted bc they were self medicating for their mental difficutlies - depression/anxiety - and guess what....the ones in recovery all say the same - THE POWER TO CONTROL IT IS WITHIN YOU dig fuckin deep.... get a fuckin kitten if u need to

Just a fair warning if you tell your physician you have problems it all goes on your medical record. They treat you differently after that it's just weird. Like once they diagnose you with something it's on your medical record and that is you basically so it's like OH you are a retard now okay or OH you have attention deficit disorder you can't focus because your a retard. Also either one of those cancels you out from being able to take other fun medicines. It's like once they find out you have anxiety kiss your chances of obtaining adderall for studying goodbye.

When I take Vicodin with Cannibas it takes the edge off associated with Cannibas that people complain about. Usually if you have that feeling to begin with just smoke it in small amounts alone until you build up a tolerance. Try to keep occupied it won't be so bad.
