Design help! Rohnyn 07/25/14(Fri)09:48 UTC+1 No.167090 Report

Hey Guys. This isn't a request thread or anything. But I have to design a logo for an RC racetrack. I am trying to figure out some kind of "silhouette" of an RC buggy as part of the logo. I am having a HELL of a time trying to make something. My inspiration is this boat logo. I need this buggy to represent so dominate like this boat does. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I will post up all the stuff I have so far, I'm a first timer here, but a long time Photoshop-fag. I'm just stumped and illustrator (for these shapes) slays my mind.

This is a buggy example...
This is a buggy example i'm using to try and design into that boat style. Very simplistic for a business logo.

Find a Baja 500 photo ... In the air jumping.... Work with that

I image searched "Baja 500 jump" and got a lot of reference photos I would work with. I guess the main change would be to increase the wheel size to RC proportions.... Not that hard?

Turn the boat upside down, add wheels, go.

I have the picture i'm "working with". The issue i'm having is moving the brush along those features to create an image such as the boat example. How do people decide what pieces to emphasis and what pieces to leave out that still gives the viewer the idea of what it is so precisely like that boat image?

Am I making sense? I can't find the right lines, or brush, or shape to create that buggy image into something so iconically simple.

Holy crap.... Now what made you think of those shapes over other aspects to "produce" with said shapes? I really am not requesting it, Btw, those look fantastic. Just a car shape, oversized tires and a scoop wing? Or is there more thought? Sorry, I'm getting philosophical about it but I truly have no understanding of this "concept of art".

And thank you >>167130
I just got home from work, I'm reading it now.
