Formal education of any kind is indoctrination.

Is indoctrination a bad thing?
Anonymous 06/25/14(Wed)18:03 UTC+1 No.5057194 Report

I guess the modern meaning, with it's negative connotations, is a problem. I digress.

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.
Anonymous 06/25/14(Wed)18:12 UTC+1 No.5057231 Report

Well yeah that's the definition. Why do you think that's profound?

To "indoctrinate" is to "put teaching into someone". It's acquired a negative connotation but that's all it really means.

You're a retard OP.

Indoctrinating people means making them believe something is true, actual learning would be people realizing something is true.
