What does /lit/ use to write? Do you find that it has any impact on your writing style?

I use a lot of parentheses within parentheses so I use Notepad++ to keep track.

Personally I use my computer for any serious things. For any creative or leisurely writing, I'll occasionally use a pen when I want to write in a slower more methodical manner, or my typewriter because it's just a more enjoyable experience than a keyboard.

Sorry, what I said only applies to literature. If you're writing genre fiction or Y.A., feel free to use a computer. I assumed that since we're on /lit/ we were talking about writing that matters.

A pen and paper. A typewriter is fine too. As long as you are completely alone. Even a computer that's disconnected from the Internet will poison your writing. Writing is a conversation between yourself and God. You don't want a Google Chrome icon in the background while you're conversing with the Lord. If you have the balls to write (and it's balls you need, don't ever forget it), then put away the toys (laptops, phones), get a piece of paper, and meet your maker.
