Anime Sols is doing Gordian...
Anonymous 07/21/14(Mon)14:29 UTC+1 No.11109186 Report

Anime Sols is doing Gordian now.

http://animesols.com/video_sets/29

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it was ever subbed before, so here's hoping they pull it off.

Goge 07/21/14(Mon)14:31 UTC+1 No.11109195 Report

Aw yes.
I hope that someday they will also try to pick-up the Eldoran series.
It surprises me, that they are still not subbed. Even more after SRW OE

Nothing ever gets funded on that site unless they're popular or some kind of loli show.

I am still kind of baffled by Creamy Mami. I wouldn't have figured some ancient magical girl series would even get funded.

Well, this time around they're not planning on doing a full DVD release, only a stream, so the goal is relatively low ($2,700). Heck, assuming there are like, I dunno, 50 active anons on /m/, each on of us putting $50 bucks, we can fund this ourselves.

...again, assuming /m/ isn't entirely composed of you, me, and that guy we keep arguing with.

Speaking of that, is Gosaurer subbed in any way? It's been moving up on my backlog very rapidly (I think the thing that pushed it up most was SAURER MAGMA FINISH and the King Gosaurer song) and I need to know.

Creamy Mami was one of the most popular magical girl anime of the '80s, and has English-speaking fans since it was already fully subbed by Live-Evil before Anime Sols touched it. They shoud have done Minky Momo instead

We can always try asking OnDeed if they are willing to work on it. They did some obscure series, like Rem (my most favourite magical girl show) for example. However, IIRC, they don't like to work on longer shows.

Matter of opinion. I quite like it. Mostly because it's mixing various genres and character designs are pretty neat.

MAL does not count Devil Hunter Yohko, Witchcraft Works, Kampfer, Little Witch Academia, Prism Ark, or even Quiz Magic Academy as Mahou Shojo. What DOES qualify? Demonbane and yes you read that correctly.

Holy shit anon even if it's an episode every six months, I will love you forever if you translate Acrobunch. I'll gladly help if you need - I have lots of free time and took some French in high school

Raijin-Oh is 50% done by Anime Midstream and they do intend to release all of it. They are a small company, so their DVD release schedule is slow.

If you guys end up doing Acrobunch and want me to check how well the English translations works with the Japanese audio, just ask. I don't have time for complete Japanese to English translations right now, but checking another translator's work is less time consuming.

Good luck with that. I translated the first ep of Acrobunch last year and I think it took me months before that to download what existed, and IIRC there were still some missing.

I don't think it's even made it into a SRW, it's usually only remembered for being an Xzibit robot.

Danguard Ace hasn't either, but people remember it. Plenty of shows haven't and are still remembered, and some have and aren't (I don't think I've ever seen anyone mention Mechander)

Danguard Ace is a Leiji work though, so it has some star power. Mechander is the show known for the budget running out and retarded mechanics in SRW so.

Danguard's also super huge, so he stand outs on that mecha family photo along with Gunbuster. Gordion probably blends in with all the rest, if he's even there at all. I guess that's him next to the Wing Gundam.
