Not really what I was expecting.
But I do like the designs. Might give it a spin.

It's basically puzzles & dragons + mechs

Now is a good time to start playing because there are some strong mechs available in the capsule system they use for the next 24 hours or so.

Wait until Friday to join. If they have the ZM festival active ([ZM] is displayed where you roll for a free rare bot), then roll and reroll (delete your data if you don't like the bot you got and start again) until you get a 5Star bot from the ZM Festival Capsule.

If you like what you have, keep the account, and be sure to take down the UID and passcode (activate data transfer to see it). If you intend on balancing multiple accounts, be sure to always activate data transfer before deleting the data. You're just deleting the phone data; the server will still hold your account data.

I'm not OP, but taking advantage of ZM Festivals for some rare and powerful bots from the get go for free is something I do. And with rolling of several different powerful bots, allow me to ID search my preferred mains and friend them to have early access to strong support (they will become a bit weak past Rank 50 or so, but it's the Leadership bonuses I'm after).

I play on Magellan server though; Seyfert is the Korean server and Magellan is global. Officially, but there's plenty of non-Korean players in Seyfert from my experience.

If the ZM Festival is already active, ignore waiting until Friday which I said in >>10877678. The rest is still valid.

You get an increased chance to roll these dudes today.

For the Lambda bots Vulcan is the best. Berg and Scheinen are decent. Tot is too but its in "you must be this skilled to ride" tier. I wouldn't touch Iceberk with a 10 ft pole.

All the Fabre bots are good one way or another.

Baltoz and Kyma are GOAT rolls but you get more mileage off of Baltoz.

SG's are good but one usually can't make full use of them right away.

Huh. Never heard of it. The mechs are lovely, though. Thanks for dumping them! I wonder who the artist is?

No idea. Probably a bunch of outsourced Coolean artists.

Gonna dump what I have left.

Korean artists. They're reusing the sprites from the failed browser game Colony of War (at least, it failed in the EN version; which shut down in April). Possibly the same company, rebranded.

It was a traditional browser game.

8 directional movement, sprites from different angles but in a fixed shape, colony/base building, faction vs faction, guild vs guild, and the usual questing/dungeon runs.

You could choose from 1 of 6 characters to be your avatar. Interestingly, this is the English version; the JP and Korean versions kept an anime design.

The choice of character was going to play a bigger role, but that was never added to the English version of the game. Specifically, special character-exclusive units.

In fact, much of the stuff CoW Korea and CoW JP got the EN version never quite got; development died over the last year.

In fact, it was only during the early part of last year that a major update added "still cutscenes" to a number of dungeons, along with a storyline, which was lacking. And it's evident they didn't bother to try and cater to the English market anymore; they kept the anime style of the characters.

There was a number of parallel but different cutscenes for the two sides; Earth vs Mars. Here's the other side of the ending cutscene for that particular mission chain.

Robots obtained were by level, and one of the issues with this game was having to collect the necessary equipment to outfit them, which required quite a bit of work, and in the upper levels, cash.

You had 6 slots for CPU, Engine, Shield, Container, Booster, and Armor.

Then you had 1 Main weapon slot and anywhere from 0-5 sub-weapon slots.

Some of these could be bought in the early, game, but soon specialized equipment had to be grinded/farmed from NPCs and dungeons or rolled from capsules.

The best stuff were either super-rare capsule equipment or UDA equipment (think of it as elite equipment; required Fame and Medals to obtain and just as costly timewise, but free).

Here's my garage on the last day of the game.

Here's an example of the end of a group dungeon rewards.

You have 10 cards to select; you cannot select the same card as a teammate, and if you want to gamble 3000 gold (not a big deal when you're in the high levels), can roll a second gold card.

Prizes ranged from shit like resources (used to build buildings and units in your colony) to rare weapons or even units.

The game had potential, but slow updates, limited advertising, and a lack of incentive killed the game after 3-4 years.

The KR and JP versions are still going, IIRC.

Dang there was a lot of carryover to LZ. I found it strange that a game so young could have so much content. I wish they could take a break and flesh out other parts of the game but they are making a killing with what they're doing now.

>>10878065
If the KR version is left how are they handling new content? I mean, they can't put the same stuff into both games.
