Anonymous 07/26/14(Sat)10:05 UTC+1 No.11130561 Report

Can we have a serious chat about the Strike? The Strike Noir has long been one of my favorite gundam ( and THE favorite among all seed units), but now a true challenger has appeared.

It's time to choose, /m. Who is the King of the Strike? The edgy batman unit or the one with Shining knuckle?

I think they are both beautiful, but there can only be one winner

I'd like to see them with the pack reversed.
I wonder if some modeller has already tried.

The Ootori is far too excessive. It's like the FAZZ of the unicorn. They virtually put on it as many weapons as possible.

Strike noir and Build are much more elegant.

The Destiny and the Strike Freedom are , probably, on a superior level, but from a performance point what difference passes between a Strike noir and a vanilla Freedom?
(And let's pretend that Kira is not on board the Freedom )

The Freedom has a nuclear reactor, and bigger guns.

>>11130664
>>and bigger guns

Strike noir has two guns of the same power on the wings with twins rifles and pistols.
Lacks the multi-target, but it compensates with double swords for melee. Equipping a nuclear engine would be at par with the Freedom or maybe even a little higher because it's a new generation of mobile suits.

in any case, a nuclear engine, is and remains a great idiocy. No pilot in his right mind would be willing to lead such a thing and would be a danger to allied units.

The only area where I can see the Strike Noir being comparable to the Freedom is in close range combat, at mid to long range it would have a severe disadvantage.

The Freedom has twin plasma beam cannons, twin railguns, a beam rifle and 75mm CIWS.
The Strike Noir has two small linear guns on its wings, two beam pistols which have less range but a higher rate of fire and much smaller caliber head vulcans than the Freedom.

Strike Noir vs Strike Ootori would be a better match up.

When they were testing Freedom's equipment on an ordinary MS, they had to attach a large power cable to keep the suit functioning. Freedom's guns and boosters are power hogs.

Strike Noir isnt a next generation MS, its an additional Strike unit like Mwu's that has been in use since the first series and was upgraded to the Strike E before the Freedom was even made.

it seems to work just fine in EVERY OTHER GUNDAM EVER.

It's not the same thing. The Minovsky fusion reactor is not as dangerous as the one in the Freedom ( even less powerful) when it explodes .

If the Freedom going nuclear, you can even obliterate a little city .
