name some sub 5k cars you dont see in the sticky, and dont see posted all the time in "wut kar is gud" threads.

i personally like the chrysler 300m, aside from the transmission its decently reliable, looks pretty good, had a comfy interior, and handles better than you think (sort of like an older accord)
>plus, dat cool green illumination behind the gauges
but that transmission is fucking glass, it will go out every 80k like clockwork no matter what you do

look at a ford with the 5.0 or 4.6... crown vic or the mercury. gm will have intake and headgasket issues on their v6 engines (3.8 Is less likely to though) but after fixed last forever.

Northstar cars

300hp, lots of amenities, good looks

People always bitch ab out the HGs, but in a few years there wont be any on the road without them already fixed.

Once those engines are studded they'll last forever.

I wish the Eldorado coupes were cheaper. Seems like the 4 door Devilles and STS go for considerably less

I also liked the Chrysler 300M, and it was better than most Chryslers of the time. I have seen the transmission last over 100K in many cases, but I am told the lack of hills in Florida help transmission life. Of course, the T&C van never goes over 90K here.

Anybody remember the Mazda Millenia S? The interior of that car was as comfy as cars costing significantly more. One thing that sucks is that the engine uses a timing belt.
