Its america with no guns and "free healthcare". You literally will not be able to tell the difference unless you're in Quebec where people are majoritarily French but still speak english

because their car import ban is only 15 years instead of 25.

Canada sucks for car shit, everything is overpriced and buying parts is expensive as hell.

>everything is overpriced
Not true. Trucks and large cars are usually cheaper because of fuel prices. Though the "rust free tax" is true.

>Parts are expensive as hell
True, almost no places have free shipping in Canada so you're essentially paying 20% more for the same parts

Nigga you must live somewhere shitty.
I needed an engine for my celica all trac st185 and picked up a salvage title vehicle for 1200$ When the engine alone from a jdm import place starts at 1500$ with unknown km's or if it'll even work.

I've seen rust buckets in need of a rebuild for quite a bit more in the US

Free shipping aside, kijiji is so far above any equivalent site that it more then makes up for the shipping difficulty.
I also bought a jet ski engine and had it shipped to sweetgrass montana, then went and picked it up.
Cost 9$ for them to store it for me..
