I am going to be travelling 400km via bus with a friend to party at a other friends house for 2 nights.

We will both have backpacks to carry our things in.

I need general advice on this. Thanks.

how much are you packing?

assuming you have ~3 changes of clothes, a computer/accessories, blanket and toiletries I don't see why a normal jansport wouldn't work

but assuming that this party requires a lot of walking, look into a larger high serra 30l pack

also if you're travelling on Greyhound do not ever, EVER allow your luggage to leave your line of sight. Shit gets stolen all the time especially if you bag looks newish. Do not store your shit under the bus because employees steal shit all the time too.

General enough, OP?

well I use only jansport superbreak that already worn for last trip, stay for 3 night.

only carry 1 pair of jeans, 2 tees, 1 long sleev tees, 1 short pants, and 4 underwear. still managed to fit my sony nex, wrap it with towel, safe for trip. I use coded padlocks. the bus are worse, 2-3 seat configuration, no ac.

Don't take this stuff lightly, OP. First read "The SAS Guide to Surviving Moderate Distance Bus Trips" by Joe "Legs" O'Malley and Cyril "Andy McNab" Clunge

As for your "1st line" gear, they recommend their tactical black ballistic nylon bag with heavy duty belt ingeniuously woven out of 300 feet of genuine "SAS style" paracord

I'm assuming, of course, you already have the steel toe cap CRW, anti-static boots and kevlar hardened gloves.

Into your bag goes a freshly sharpened bushcraft knife, 2 unlubricated condoms, 50ft of braided paracord (seriously, you can't get enough of this fucking shit..) 1/2 a hexamine and 1 square yard of char cloth, good as camoflage aid (soot is GREAT!), firestarter, and when folded several times over and secured over the nose and mouth functions as a field expedient gas mask should you have to use the onboard restrooms or sit near black people.

Now you're ready to think about setting foot on a bus, OP. But did you note where the emergency exits are? The fire extinguishers and other convenient weaponry often cunningly hidden behind shatter glass?

Stay switched on and keep learning brother "johnny mac" would've been proud.

Get a neck pillow. Shits comfy and it takes the weight off your neck I'd you feel like sleeping. What kind of bus is this anyway? A grayhound or public transportation
