Sup /out/,

I grew some sunflowers during the summer season that were absolutely beautiful, but when I got back from college this weekend they had blown over from a storm a couple of weeks back.

They've already started to dry out, so I don't think I can just replant them, but I was thinking; Would it be possible to chop them into bits and putting them into the soil to use as fertilizer? I unfortunately don't have a compost heap.
