Why aren't you living next to a massive active volcano? Are you some kind of pussy?

I live within sight of two volcanoes, one of which still has eruptions every so often. Alaska, bitches.

I'm about to move to seattle :C

"Not only is there much ice atop the volcano, the volcano is also slowly being weakened by hydrothermal activity. According to Geoff Clayton, a geologist with a Washington State Geology firm, RH2 Engineering, a repeat of the Osceola mudflow would destroy Enumclaw, Orting, Kent, Auburn, Puyallup, Sumner and all of Renton.[30] Such a mudflow might also reach down the Duwamish estuary and destroy parts of downtown Seattle, and cause tsunamis in Puget Sound and Lake Washington"

Don't move to Seattle, it's terrible to live here. Not only is the weather shit for the vast majority of the year (enjoy your ENDLESS GREY SKIES FOREVER), but the earthquakes and volcanoes are a constant threat.

Just stay in California or something.

Seriously, don't come here.

well i lived in LA which is a shithole and earthquakes hit about 4x a year. but currently i live in boston where it's been like 5ยบ all fucking winter, it rains 20% more than seattle, and it's bleak.

at least seattle is mild (albeit cloudy), and earthquakes aren't as bad as LA. and it's a way nicer city than fucking LA too.

But I love it, I have fair skin and burn easy, it's great having a big chunk of the year to do stuff without needing a lot of sunscreen

Yea this guy is right, if you are from failifornia or the least coast you are going to HATE it here. All you will do is constantly complain about the weather and how passive aggressive people and will be gone in less than 5 years.

>>282296
We are within striking distance of
5 active Volcanoes and dangerously close to 3, plus on an earthquake fault.

Me too, but if you keep saying that it's actually pretty nice here, then they will just keep moving here. What I left unsaid after "seriously don't come here" is "we really don't want you."

But yeah, I do enjoy it here. The winter/fall weather is a little bit of a drag, but there's a lot of places to go /out/ to -- just be prepared for rain always. Or if you're a shut-in nerd (what are you doing on /out/?) there's a bunch of shut-in nerd things to do too.

Cold semi-arid climate here. Highs over 110 in summer, lows below zero in winter, dry as hell, the wind doesn't stop between February and September, and we have tornadoes. Live where you interact with the environment instead of waiting passively for your quick and merciful death before you call anybody else a pussy.
