Does anyone what difference - if any - there is between an official Canon lens hood and a third-party clone? Do I get anything out of paying 3x as much for the piece of plastic that has "Canon" printed on it over one made by Fotodiox or Neewer?

Crappy 3rd party hoods may fit too tight or too loose. But Fotodiox stuff is generally ok.

One of them has "Canon" printed on it.
