The problem isn't the editing, it's the lack of subject/point of interest.

Just google for "VSCO", then pirate it. It is really nice if you get used to it and to Lightroom.

VSCO EMULATES FILM 100%. WHEN I WAS A BOY I HAD TO USE FILM TO GET EFFECTS, I BET IF ANSEL ADAMS WERE ALIVE RIGHT NOW HE WOULD USE VSCO. NOW YOU CAN JUST PIRATE VSCO AND INSTAGRAM AND APPLY IT TO PERFECTLY FRAMED PICTURES OF YOUR OWN DICK. WHAT A TIME WE LIVE IN I TELL YA, WHAT A TIME.

>>2370475
Why are you doing this troll? Nobody (even the true VSCO supporters) claim this... it just gives digital files some of the toning and contrast of the film it's emulating. It's by no means a perfect conversion, but if all most people are looking for is a quick way to make their digital files have some of the magic of film stocks, it's a great way to go. Relax about it.

Why do you saturate your photos this much OP? Unless you want to remove your shots from reality I would avise correcting distortion and chromatic abberation apart from fixing up under- or overexposed shots.

wtf this banding came right out of your camera?

about editing: SHOOT RAW. GET LIGHTROOM. GET VSCO.

Jesus Christ. There's a reason everyone and his mom is using this combo. Just look up some VSCO groups on fb and see what those folks can do.

VSCO are presets for lightroom. They are meant to emulate film but actually look like shit. 90% of the time VSCO is mention, it is done so in a way to patronise the OP

These are not the answers you are looking for. The first post concerns basic terms and techniques of post processing that neeed to be done before applaying any VSCO filters. Read up on basic terminology.

The edit looks warm, clean, and very pleasant. The photo itself has very little to offer, so all you can do in the edit is try to imbue some expressed emotion into the scene, and that edit does it well. You can't go for cold or creepy because the light is too hard and obviously daylight. Your description is ridiculously over-dramatic and entirely biased.
