Recall the definition of the Riemann Zeta function.

Now consider a non-trivial zero of that function 1/2+it for some t. By simple computation one can see that zeta(0.49999999... + it) = 0. Because 0.49999... =/= 1/2 we have found a non-trivial zero of the Riemann zeta function that exists somewhere other than the critical line. Hence the Riemann Hypothesis is false.
